Sorry but I have to disagree. I've been in the hospital many times and some for weeks. Never did I see those kinds of #s. Now when I had complex issues and surgery that involved two neurosurgeons then yes it got close to that

I thought the wording was unusual: last illness. $61K for "the flu?" I am surprised the description was not redacted.

I thought the same thing. It is what they are not saying that speaks volumes.

Does anyone know who the source for below comment is???

Though a report in TMZ claims that Prince had been hospitalized for a drug overdose less than a week before his death, a source who worked with him a few years ago believes he was grappling with a serious and ongoing illness at the time.
“The people close to him were very concerned for his health and indicated he’d been undergoing treatments which made his immune system weak,” the source tells PEOPLE.

This might be way off base, but did anyone ever wonder why Prince, who dressed in perfectly-tailored clothing for decades, changed to tunics and pants in what seemed to be stretchy fabrics, with no buttons or zippers. The clothing wasn't cut close to his body. It just didn't seem like a natural fashion progression for him.

I do recall information coming to light - possibly referring to the same thing - which showed that P had been hospitalised for dehydration and intravenous fluids about a year before he died...I'm sure Laura has the details of that.

I think he just wanted to be comfortable. The older I get the more I choose comfortable fabrics . What people think about what you are wearing becomes less and less important .
I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R.

True...But the totally black ensembles (including beanie) he was wearing right up to his death were not the cheeriest of outfits, were they...

Yes. I thought it was weird, but I rationalized it as just being something old people do (not that Prince was old) to be comfortable. Still strange that he was walking around in what were essentially pajamas - it does seem like something he'd of rejected just 10 years ago.

Hope you are all good!
Agree the amount was not that much now If it was for a routine visit, scheduled or planned visit that would seem high but it was for an unplanned emergency. Plus add emergency ground transportation and then a nights stay, maybe multiple Drs, tests etc plus follow up tests with Dr S... It did not seem that much to me.

DIBBS: Do you know the cost of dialysis? There are a couple different types. I did quite a lot of research on this subject. I think I read that one type was $53 a year. I also found that some of the symptoms that it is alleged that P was having can occurr if a patient is in need of dialysis, as in has put it off for example. I'm just wondering about several of my past scenarios now.

Agree^^^^
He was always changing clothing styles along with his hair...as he got older he covered up more even commenting we don't want to see his old skin. (During musicology) and he was not old! I would wear his last clothing style kinda like the late 80's baggy shirts and stretchy pants and I love wearing black, my favorite clothing color.

It was just a hunch. Loose clothing and other things, the medical costs. I thought possibly kidney disease and chronic arthritis. Just speculation.

Oh I see - forgive me - you were asking a rhetorical question...Yes, I suppose dialysis is a possibility; I also wondered about liver damage - cirrhosis can require intravenous medication too. Liver damage might also explain his wanting to get hold of pain medicatios 'off the record'; any medic worth his / her salt would not be prescribing quite a number of commonly used meds if liver disease is present.

Did the black clothing start before Vanity died? When I loose someone, I'm in the mood to wear black for a long time.

Hey Olivia,

I'm just going off of something someone posted on the org in reference to the way P was dressing. If I recall correctly, it was being discussed that maybe he was choosing looser clothes, but it didn't explain why (I believe it was at a game?) P was covered head to toe INCLUDING gloves (black leather ones with his symbol) when everyone else seemed to be in lighter/short sleeved garments. I will try to find the pic that was being referenced, but I do recall seeing it and thinking the poster had a valid point. Someone went as far as to mention that if his RBC was low that he possibly was wearing gloves because a really low RBC could cause bad circulation/discolored fingertips. I'm just commenting on something I read, not trying to stirthepot

Yep! Honestly, when she said that she got a call saying to her only two words, He's gone, and she knew immediately who "he" was is all I needed to confirm my gut feeling that P had been battling something else outside of the pain meds and chronic pain.

At this point so many things are coming together I have decided not to even bother to respond to people who are stuck on suicide eek or that he was just some strung out rock star.

Never mind the people who do not understand that chronic pain is an actual illness. Or a form that can be used for tax purposes is stating expenses for latest illness is a lie. eek

I can't prove my theories beyond a shadow of a doubt but I don't see lawyers or accountants putting false info on this sheet.

I can't see dozens of assoicates saying we don't know the whole story when being directly asked about his drug use.

I can't see his sister being told "he's gone" and stating she knew two years ago he was going to die.

I can't see Prince telling two people he was going to go see his doctors before annocing more shows as if he needed his doctor to tell him he was on drugs.

I can't see a doctor running test for drugs on someone you know is already using them.

I can't see a man that was known for being a neat freak leaving pills all over the place.

I can't see him carrying a bag of pills on a plane across state lines and no one calling the cops.

I can't see a $60k hosptial bill from a midwestern hospital for less then a day's stay.

These are all facts not what I think the ME and police are up to or me trying to read anyone's mind.

He could have worn long tunics for privacy. There have been times in the past that the media outlets have taken pictures of Prince when the outline of his private area can be seen. Also, the older he became, the more he became more spiritual and tunics are in line with ''monk'' kind of clothing.

not to change the subject so I'll say something on your topic...anybody got severe arthritis on here...hard to button stuff...no lie.

ok., sorry to change the subject or bring up something else but i looked up stuff on prince way back years ago and saw that he drew the cover of 1999. i want to know what he thought he was doing trying to "cast spells on listeners". did anyone every hear anything about that. was there any feedback on that. did they find anything in the vault about that? as in, some fan bought his material and brought it in their home and something weird happened and they let prince know about it? is it in that infamous vault? any info anyone? what does it say...gossip conspiricies hearsay etc....

anything about his strangeness and ties to the strange and his use of subliminal graphics and verbal subliminals on his material? i saw this brought up on the org years ago and would like to know what anyone knows about this subject and prince. why would he try to "cast spells" on listeners unless he was a witch or something?

There is a sexuality thread here on the org that has been able to provide photos of that area, tunic or no tunic. I just thought he might be using this type of clothing because it was easier to put on and take off due to arthritis or another malady.
