That's what I'm saying clover! Are we going to be compensated? When I signed up, those albums were there. I invested in Tidal instead of buying CDs . I've given them $60 so far. I was supposed to have access to 3121 and now I don't. I think customers should be reimbursed the value of every album they took down. They sent every customer an email today too. It said they are changing some policy's and have the right to cancel anyone's service that they feel violate there privacy

The updates to their terms of use has NOTHING to do with this - but your reimbursement for an album being removed idea is hilarious. They make no guarantees about specific content. If you're unhappy, your only recourse is s to cancel. That said, here's a thought - why don't you try listening to something othe than Prince for a change?

Why don't you kiss my booty!. What I listen to other than Prince is Christian radio and that is it ! I don't even know who these other artists are on Tidal.BUT, I did see that Tidal has Chris Tomlin, do maybe I will listen to something other than PRINCE on Tidal after 4/21/2017

These albums have been streaming since June 7th.. why is it that something suddenly being said about this? I will say this since Prince's passing i am shocked that Tidal, Jay-Z/Beyonce hasn't done some sort of tribute for Prince.. a little concert, something? You would think after everything he did to support this shitty streaming service that is the least they could do.

Such myopia. As much as he meant to us, the world kept spinning when Prince died, Fam. And I doubt his support had as much impact as you believe. It certianly didn't move the needle the way Rihanna and Kanye's albums did.

We don't need you to tell us the world kept spinning. eek If you think Kanye and for some dumb ass reason rihanna's music is going to have the impact Prince had you are smoking something.

4Ever is avalible in the Tidal store. I don't remember in the court docs Tidal saying they had another album I think they were saying they were promised a Hit and Run remix and a another project. They are making a claim for those two projects so I do not think they have them as of yet.

I meant that 4ever would probably be available for streaming as well at Tidal.

So now 4 albums have dissapeared? (3121, Emancipation, Rave Un2 and One Nite Alone)

Only good news is that they removed the "bootleg" live albums as well.

I supect that WB did not want 4Ever streamed on Tidal. As of today Rave is up. Tidal has a very bad seach engine. So you might have been looking for Rave yesterday and just could not bring it up because the serch was not working properly.

Yea that's true, one moment it's there next it's not. They really did to fix their placement of the two albums in the wrong place

Yea that's true, one moment it's there next it's not. I just checked and rave UN is still not there but rave IN is there. They really did to fix their placement of the two albums in the wrong place,Around the World In A Day and Parade are in a different category other than albums

Such a simpleton.

Are Kanye and Rihanna going to have the lasting impact that Prince had? Probably not. But in terms who had more impact in culture and Tidal's revenue in 2016?Obviously not Prince.

Unless you have access to Tidal's financials for fiscal year 2016 you have no fucking idea about what impact he had on Tidal's revenue.

Tidal is going to court to keep his music on the site so I believe had some impact or they would not have bothered to file a claim. They want that remix and new project.

The only simpleton on this board is you and your idiot assumption about what impact P had on Tidal botton line. Or your need to inform us that the world is still fucking spinning.

I don't need access to their financials - it was reported that a million new subscribers joined Tidal when Rihanna's album dropped. Kanye's album was streamed 250 million times in the first 10 days. We both know that Prince's albums didn't get anywhere near that kind of response.

It would be nice if you were capable of nuanced thought - I didn't say he didn't have any impact, I said it wasn't as great. This was in response to someone suggesting that Tidal should have put on a tribute to Prince because of all he did for them.

Oh, Laura. I'm not assuming anything. Look at the charts, read some reporting from Billboard, Variety, The Verge, etc. If you really believe that Prince's releases in the last few years had the same kind of commerical success as Kanye, Rihanna, Beyonce, etc., then you're further gone then I thought.

Nope, Rave In2 is up, but Rave Un2 is gone.

Today Crystal Ball and One Nite Alone (live album) seems to be removed as well.

Tried searching for them but no results and no longer to see on his Artist page.

Wow, sorry to hear that, Olivia. Now, since they are removing some of P's music, are the customers going to be compensated for that? I don't stream any music (yet), so not sure how it works.

.

I sincerely hope they get all this straigtened out, and put all of Prince's music in one place! I wonder if they will go with Spotify? You can also stream music on Amazon. I love Amazon--they're wonderful.

It said they are changing some policy's and have the right to cancel anyone's service that they feel violate there privacy

.

They have the right to cancel anyone's service that violates their privacy?! Huh?! What kind of BS is that??!! rolleyes

.

I think Spotify charges like $10/mo., but I can stream music from Amazon

I assume that's a typo on Olivia's part - it acutally says Tidal has the right to cancel the service of anyone who violates their policies (ie: The Terms of Use). That's pretty much standard on the internet - including this very site!

Okay. That would be standard practice then. biggrin
