At his height, 112 pounds isn't too thin if we are basing it on the healthy BMI recommendation. Sure, he's on the lower end of the scale, but still well within it. I know it's human nature to look into things to see if there were signs after someone passes, and I'm not saying there weren't signs, but his weight alone isn't necessarily indicative of a problem.

If he had lost 1 more pound, he would have been below his recommended BMI.

Not according to my source. Either way, the point still stands.

This pic is skewed and out of proportion, probably intentionally. I would love someone to be able to track down another picture of this page or the exact shot itself. Nothing came up on google for me.

I'm actually studying business stats now so I don't wanna talk about skewed lol you know what you see and what I see when it comes to observing a persons possible health are obviously different. I'm a nurse so my perspective of things are different from what you may be looking for and that's all im gonna say about that because the org seems to actually hate people who really are in the health profession and not just making shit up. So respectively, we can agree to disagree.

Photo of basketball .game with Demaris is from 3/16. P looks terrible in that InTouch photo. Having had a relative and his girl friend live with me that were bothheroin addicts..they never got to the point of skin and bones....ever and both had quite a large habit going on. he GF worked as a stripper...do you think she could have held a job looking like that? Hundreds of dollars a day. Based on my personal experience with that, I'd say something else was going on with P. Good point on if one's days are numbered, would they care how much money they spent...I'd know I wouldnt...I'd do whatever the f I wanted to do...including reminding people how much I loved them or tell them for the first time that, and try to right my wrongs.

Were your relative and his girlfriend in withdrawal? It does not sound like they were. According to some reports, Prince was trying to detox himself and he went into withdrawal, which explains the weight loss and flu like symptoms. From my understanding of drug alcohol abuse/ addiction, a person stops getting high from their drug of choice and need to continue to take it just to feel normal. When they stop taking the drug, they go through horrible withdrawal symptoms, which is why addicts oftentimes want to stop using but can't because going through withdrawal too difficult.

I have read all the reports and being in recovery for over 30 years know all about addiction and withdrawal stages. He looked bad as early as 12/31 -see NYE's party pix in the Carribean. Hard to believe he could have gone on that long on withdrawal symptoms. The relative went through withdrawal many times and of course in jail and once out ended up using again...is now on methadone and has been for years. They never did look like P looked in his last few months and the relative was slim to begin with. Until a family member or NAMED official source says otherwise will consider it speculation. Maybe one day we will really know what happened.

Nursev, just to throw it out there: there are those of us here who have also spent their careers in the medical/health profession and know that info from others who have done the same is more reliable than most given here. There are people here who just don't want to believe what they don't want to believe...and it doesn't matter if legitimate points are made from a skilled medical perspective, they still won't believe it. And this is why there will never be closure for many fans. I'll take what a medical person has to say over a non-medical person any day hug

Ya' know, I've posted this at least twice before and I'm going to post it again because it is completely relevant to this discussion.

This is an article regarding David Bowie's last public appearance a month before he died. READ it, don't just pretend to and note how people said he looked just fine yet the theater director said "he fought back tears and suffered with agonising pain during the evening". The theater director knew he was dying with liver cancer but was sworn to secrecy but also said “It was written that he looked so well, so healthy. But behind the podium he collapsed from exhaustion”. People who are deathly ill have unimaginable strength to hide what they want to hide, but even so he LOOKS desperately ill. Bowie hid it well and hid it for a long time!

Bottom line is that if people don't want to see it, they won't. Go ahead and keep on thinking what you want to think, but it's a very similar scenario to what we have going on here about Prince. Some people just can't see it.

As soon as Bowie died we found out. Why would they be hiding it if Prince was suffering from cancer and let us believe he died of a drug overdose? Why not just tell us?

Hi BillieBalloon. My main reason for posting this is to point out that someone can be desperately sick and terminally ill, some won't see it, yet it's very clearly obvious to others.

As to your specific comment though...it's impossible to give an answer without knowing more info...but again, I wasn't really addressing that piece of things here.

Regardless of what anyone is 'seeing', one has to stick with what the folks that knew him best are saying, which is he acted and looked fine right up to the end, those are the only accounts that have any merit. That is what I will stick with.

https://s-media-cache-ak0...618549.jpg To me he looks no thinner than in 1986, or maybe a 5 to 10lbs difference. He wasn't eating for 2 months or close according to his chef. So him being skinny doesn't appear unusual in that photo. It doesn't tell me he looks sick either. Stress can do that to you (cause weight loss). It does to me. I lost 10lbs in less than 2 weeks from heavy stress. Either way, healthy or not, God intended for April 21st to be his last day alive on this earth. No one could change that--not even Judith had she stayed.

agreed...it was definitely in his face. Just in 2 years he started to not resemble himself at all sad Look at the basketball pic the way P is dressed is not fit for the environment and they were inside a building too.

Agreed...something was off...way off with P.

I don't believe that is what God intended. If that is true, then free will does not exist, which is everyone's gift from God. God may know every potential outcome based on the decisions we make, but that is up to us.

Not necessarily that God wanted him dead. I believe that when your time is up, you're going to go no matter what's going on in your life. It's just very sad how he went.

Thanks, I will do that.

All those poeple, including me, can only speculate, but regardless of how many are saying it, it holds no merit other than being an assumption or interpretation of a picture. All it means is a lot people are swayed by certain photos, perhaps its human nature for the bulk of people to project the narrative they were spoon fed onto these photos, perhaps not. Either way, the only real info we have is what those close to him say, not family or crazy x girlfriends, but those that spent the most time with him over the last few years right up to the end. Why folks want to fight that is beyond me as they are truly the only accounts that have any merit.

For everyone who is saying "P was ill/sick", "something else other than addiction was going on", how do you explain the comments from the autospy report which indicated n/a (not applicable) for "other contributing causes" and n/a for “other significant conditions”? If P had cancer or some other health condition, wouldn't they have been listed instead of reporting N/A for "other significant conditions"? What, you think the autospy report is a lie?

According to these recent news articles he had other medicines in his system. Those were not listed either, there was n/a in those spaces also. So if all that true then n/a does not mean non-existant, it just didn't apply in that moment.

The nurse in me sees this too: the pallor, skin turgor, and overall frail appearance. It's one of those "assessment" things that set off warning bells.

I've seen Prince in a real life situation as he walked to his limo after a concert in Chi. The man had a big ass head! Almost in odd proportion. Reminded me of how big a toddler's head looks on his/her body

Let's not forget about David Bowie's last ever photo. How does he "look" for a man who's days away from dying of cancer? Photos don't necessarily tell you anything about what a person's going through.

I feel like he definitely looks thinner. Not deathly thin.... but thinner than say 3 or 4 years ago. But being in pain can ruin your appetite. Doesn't necesarily mean he had some fatal illness. If the hip problem he had is true.....that can be excruciating. And no, you don't want to eat. And combine that with pain killers, a crazy schedule, and what his normal daily life was like...yea, he'd most likely lost some weight.

Also, most of the pictures people are commenting on about him looking "deathly ill", "so frail", etc etc...are the ones where he has the big afro. I think that just adds to his already petite frame. Hair style can make a WORLD of difference in may ways. If he had his older "sleek" style of hair, I don't think he would look so thin. That hair just throws all perception off in my opinion.

I just feel like people are complicating it. I don't think there was a fatal illness he was hiding, I don't think he was a "junkie", and I don't think he wanted, let alone knew he was going to die. I believe he was taking pain killers...probably for a LONG time....for pain. Not for a high. And as any human, famous or not, does.....you become immune. You increase your dosage, change medication, etc etc. Being who he was, I'm sure the last thing he wanted was a prescription in his name for any kind of opiod. He knew how the celebrity thing worked, in most cases, you'd be labled a junkie if any tabloid found out. Even if you were taking them legitamitely.

The only thing I know is if his inner circle cared as much as they say, someone should have put their foot down and gotten him some help. He called the shots in his life and it seemed that no one could tell him what to do. But what about Larry Graham? Prince worshiped him. He's one that comes to mind that I feel could have maybe stepped in and done something. And don't even get me started on the relgious beliefs that I feel made some of this snowball YEARS ago.....

I actually think that his religious beliefs could have added years to his life. If he had not met Larry Graham then who know? We really don't know how long he had pain issues or how long he may have been taking any medication or drugs. He could also have distanced himself from Larry Graham and others to try and shield his problem and keep it concealed.

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...
