Has anyone thought how great a life size bronze statue would be?

I was just thinking , what a beautiful tribute to honor P, for the fans to visit and rest flowers, sit and think for awhile. A life size bronze could be placed in the park or somewhere in minniapolis and its forever. I love this idea usually the city pays or a donor, costs are variable but I've heard around 25-30k.
I would love a place to pay homage to him and if that could happen what pose and what era of Prince would be best?
Just an idea

Lifesize is a bad idea in his case -- make it huge.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

When I told my 9 year old they were turning PP into a museum (he has been saying this since Prince passed) he said they will have a huge sculpture of him there cool
I have no idea how he is thinking these things!!
He was looking forward to the piano mic tour as that is all we talked about prior to Princes passing...

It would go against his love of the 10 commandments and the decree to have no graven images or likenesses. Prince would not care for it. Personally I think it would be cool. He switched up his style so often that I can't imagine how what era would be chosen for his statue.

Pleeeease no bronze statue. If really a bronze statue than I'd prefer a huge cloud guitar.
Or a huge high heeled shoe.

Something that was typically Prince but not P himself....

I agree. He wouldn't go for that. He was not that kind of person.

I think it would be great. As steakfinger pointed out, Prince had many styles. I can envision a series of five or six statues in a row, each depicting a different Prince style.

Yeah that would be awesome. But I agree. If he wouldn't like it done, then it shouldn't be done. Didn't think of the 10 commandments thing.

Why not the symbol in bronze?

I have yet to see a bronze statue that actually looks like the person. Maybe the previous posters suggestion of the Cloud Guitar would be better. But Prince would not like one of himself as the scriptures prohibit the use of idols and he could see it that way too. JMHO

Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

They have one of Mary Tyler Moore in downtown Minneapolis. Why not Prince? shrug

The symbol would be nice, since choosing a era wouldn't cover it.

Now I can understand a statue of the symbol but I've never seen a bronze that represents a person very well. They always look messed up in some way confused and when your talking about Prince, it would be hard to capture all that he was and do him justice in that form.

I like the statue idea. Honestly I'd take anything, the symbol, whatever, just as long as there is some kind of representation to remind the world that a Prince walked amongst us.

This reminds me of the creepy giant Michael Jackson statue that 'swam' along the thames. The closest comparison to it was godzilla.

The HIStory Tour outfits. Oh Lawd. That lamé gold suit.
The elbow and knee pads... You couldn't even appreciate his moves in that pseudo-cosmonaut suit.

The other day I saw the intro of that tour, with the rollercoaster and the spaceship.
Just plain pathetic.

Spare me the Prince statue. I mean, what's next? The Golden Calf?
