I agree. I didn't see the tweet but in a perfect world his legacy should continue online and expand to new horizons that transcend personal profit. This man was a genius and he needs to be celebrated. Daily.

I would assume it's Tyka...Prince often tweeted himself, and you could tell when it was someone else - I dont even think its that hard to tell the difference - its not like they were trying to fool anyone.

I must have been sleeping though - Im glad - I dont need that kind of freak out.

Have to say I agree with you. I didn't find it offensive at all. I'm also sad that Luxlove did remove them from here. I wouldn't have seen them if they hadn't posted the screenshot so a big thank you from me

I can see how this would be very shocking to y'all. Maybe the person in charge of tweeting for the estate could introduce themselves and direct us to the new twitter account.

So I wonder if he knows this or is just guessing. A lot of people assumed the same thing.

Could be a guess, but to me the way how he said it, it came across as if he knew this is something they wanted to do.

It's common knowledge lots of celebrities have someone who does all their social media account, usually a personal assistant for example.

Dr. Funkenberry said it was Prince posting most of the time but others would occasionally, for pictures or something.

They should post info on where to follow for further information and thats it. Make a Paisely Park Museum twitter account or something like that - post it on princes twitter - then lock his twitter for posterity.

UNLESS P's social media accounts are kept active, the systems could delete them. There needs to be an agreement with all social media to archive them (OR to archive them on a permanent P site). Someone who can legitimately represent Prince (family, Londell, Bremer, etc....) needs to take care of this so the accounts isn't/aren't deleted. Amy Winehouse is still up there under @amyjademermaid. That's her actual account, as opposed to @amywinehouse which is her estate promoting her legacy. Prince's family should sort out something similar.

I really doubt Twitter would delete Prince's account automatically/irretrievably one day. Surely they have something in place for when a historically significant person passes. I think the Library of Congress archives all of Twitter as well.

All of his social media accounts should be frozen and new ones created if the estate/family/administrators want to communicate information.
