Has it been 30 days yet? They had 30 days to appeal. Also, if they weren't going to appeal they had time to file with the Court those items they wanted redacted and then the Judge was going to rule on those submissions.
I'm not sure how this all works but I would assume any papers filed in regards to the ST requesting to open their divorce papers would also be available to the public. The article said that Judge Thomas Fraser wrote a 17-page order to unseal the papers. Now I remember the article had a link to a copy of that order, it doesn't any longer. It seems nothing from that case is available for public eyes. Is it me or doesn't that seem weirdly ironic?

if attorneys are involved and the deadline to file is the 15th the brief will be filed on the 15th. wink

I guess I've gotten accustom to looking at Prince's RE stuff, everytime they do something they post the paperwork, unless it supposed to be private. I guess that would get crazy if they did that for every court case. I was just wondering, why the court case between ST and I guess the Prince Estate and Mani don't have their stuff posted.

Based on what's going on with PP I'd assume there are tons of things going on that aren't opened for public eyes just yet, but those that are in the right circles have some idea of what activity is going on. So we wait, twiddle our thumbs. Me personally, I'm taking up residence on my stoop again, waiting for something that makes a micro-bit of sense to pass through, as I've been doing for quite a few years now.

There is a lot going on behind close doors as the Judge has allowed Bremer to participate in business deals under seal. I just wonder what they consider "business" as it could encompass almost anything.

I tried to read it, but my attention span couldn't hold out. It seems like a last ditch effort in my guessing.

This will definitely tie things up for a while. Perhaps to allow more time for the discovery plan that was originally proposed.

This probate will drag out for years I am afraid.

I read it.

It is a whole lot of nothing.

I think they just want to make a record so when they appeal they can bring up the constitutional argument also.

They also brought in another attorney.

So many attorneys who are not getting paid.

I skimmed through it. In a nutshell, it says that the Special Administrator's protocol prior to genetic testing is unconstitutional according to Minnesota and US law. They are saying that the Special Administrator is unlawfully narrowing the definition of parents and they attached laws and legal guidance from a legal conference.

I also skimmed through it, and it looks quite similar to the objection filed by attorneys for one of the adopted children. I am purposely not using a name. Anyway, I find it interesting the attorneys included everything about the relationship between, Duane, Prince and John Nelson, but neglected to say anything about the fact that Duane was not included as a child in the Estate of John Nelson
when he passed in 2001. They even addressed Prince's firing Duane, but not the restraining order Prince had to get.

-- This sounds like such utter bullshit. They are not blood related to Prince or John. My guess is the grand daughter had no parental relationship with Prince or John at all. They are play nieces and want to use that to inherit millions of dollars. If this is allowed anyone that has a close relationship to a deseased person can be an heir while some states do not allow cousins to be heirs or biological children that were adopted away from the deceased to heirs. The reasoning is insane. Maybe the family should offer them money to just go away. The Jimi Hendrix's brother some money and a t-shirt business to go away.

VN was born after John passed away. This whole thing comes down to what the legal definition of a parent and sibling is.
There's a lot of unanswered questions here. What proof did the family have to exclude Duane from John's estate? Was a dna test taken at that time and it showed that John was not Duane's biological father? Neither side has provided info of that nature.

Essentially it probably is just rehash, so do not get too excited.

If there was anything 'new' on there they would have advertised it that way.

At least, if this release materialises, the estate is capable of releasing records.

That can mean business down the road...
