So in truth Prince and Rodney made this contract in stone way back 4,000 years ago or so but it's written in hieroglyphics so the judge couldn't read it and he dropped it and it broke so that was the end of that contract.

ohgoon clapping I had to catch myself. I almost busted out laughing in my cubicle....lol

Welcome home class. We've come a long way. - RIP Prince

OMG Im on a Facebook Prince Tribute Page and these people are going crazy stating the Judge ruled Carlin is the heir of the Estate. They are losing their shit and wailing. Im trying to convince them that the Judge has not ruled anyone an heir of the Estate as of this date. Its like Im talking to a brick wall.

I wonder where they are getting their info from.

I finally saw what you were talking about not foreclosing on any possible heirs.

And I finally read Anthony's order for sealed testing, but too late now he just came right on out and told everybody, I hope he doesn't get in any trouble for doing that.

So my question is if Anthony already had his and knows his result then Carlin should have gotten his by now, correct?

Carlin's test was filed and sealed with the Court awhile ago. Seriously, I may have missed a name somewhere and Carlin and Tony were 6 and 7.

We dont really know it was negative it was the media who reported that story. The Judge has no ruled on any DNA testing as of this date.

Okay, that's sounds like what I remembered being said before. So he's waiting for retesting, and that's what a lot of this paperwork going back and forth is, him (and others) wanting to keep receiving confidential information as potential heirs. I wonder how many times can they keep appealing to be retested?

That is why I think Carlin and Tony are 6, and 7. The Judge has excluded 5, and has not ruled on DNA testing (from what I can tell). I think I just missed a name somewhere. I may take time this weekend and look through the plethora of pleadings again. lol lol

I have a suspicious question. Obviously there will be no answer but maybe some banter. I'm just casually reading about the Turks & Caicos property, he bought in 2010. It's a very, very nice house, his and her closets. Guest house, staff house, the works. Note it is the only property not in MN, so far. The article made mention of the Spain property he bought for Mayte, now sold. Of course I thought of the Canadian property he bought for Mani, I have no idea what's going on with that one. And then I started thinking it doesn't look like Prince makes a habit of buying houses out of the country unless it's being more or less gifted to a wife. Honestly I don't know so perhaps others may have noticed does he tend to just buy lavish houses out of the country just because?

Who was the woman he bought Turks and Caicos for? Bria?

I think but I am not sure Mani got the Candian house and it was sold and the new owners are selling the property?

I always thought Bria was like Chelsea , Misty and Damarius, more muses than romantic interest they always seem to have more serious relationships going on out of the public eye. I couldn't imagine Prince buying a house for someone that wasn't exclusively seeing him. Record deals maybe not houses.

Again I was just going by what I heard with thw Canadian house. I don't see why Mani wouldn't have gotten the house in the divorce settlement just like Mayte did. It was said that Mani's brothers ended up owning the house and now they decided to sell it.

I wonder if the Turks and Caicos house was used as investment property. Houses like that in a location like Turks and Caicos can bring in big bucks in rentals. The house had 10 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Maybe. Maybe I'm allowing thoughts in with it being compared to the Spanish villa. Seems so random though.

Would it be a bad thing for paisley to be sold? The heirs appear to have some disagreements about how to move forward. Now that we know that some of them want to use paisley park as a personal recording studio, would it be better for some entertainment company to take it over, preserve it and open it for fans? The last thing that we need is for things to be held up because the family wants to start recording albums there. No disrespect to the family, but none of his fans are excited about a Nelson family album.

nod Nope. But since PP has been around for years, one has to wonder why "family" didn't already get in there to do their musical thing.

I didn't get the sense that they wanted the recording studio kept JUST for their personal use, but that they could be amongst those using it...

.

But, yes, there does seem to be some dissent about what precisely to DO with the place - whether it be a museum or a working studio...(Why couldn't it be all of these things - it's big enough)!?!

Very true. In the right hands, it could be a good thing. In the wrong hands, it could be a travesty. My point is that if the right entity paid the family $200 million (or whatever appropriate amount) for the place and preserved and protected its legacy, that could be win/win/win given the fact that the various heirs seem to have different views about what should be done with it. There needs to be a clear direction for the future and that is never going to happen with so many voices. If they cannot agree, it is possible that a judge forces it to be sold and the proceeds split like what is done in a divorce with real estate.

I'd rather Prince's intentions be honored as best as possible. And not sell his dream to the highest bidder. If it means appeasing a few family members who want to make a record or 2 then so be it (or don't), the market will handle that. PP will be no worse for wear. Now if it's about various family members trying to control the contents of the vault that's a whole other conversation.

You keep saying heirs, and I personally am not trusting what you mean by heir, do you care to explain?
