After Prince's Passing, Where do we go from here?

I know we will all be fams of him and his music forever, there probably won't be a day that goes buy that I don't play a song or two, watch a video or check in here on prince.org

But....

Without new shows, albums or eras to talk about, what will you do?

Support the protege's more?

Collect more Prince stuff?

Follow another artist more that you did before?

I'm just curious because I'm sort of trying to find my way and what my fandom will be like from now on..

He was obviously an unparalleled source of inspiration for his proteges. It's the same thing we feel from him even though it's not directed at each of us specifically. I can't even imagine what that would be like.

But I try to take that with me, do better like he always tried, be the best me that I can be. It seems he always knew how to spot the potential in those around him, find their best sides and bring them out. Like he did with himself. So I try to think what he might have seen in me that can make me a better me. If that makes any sense. And to become better at seeing the good in those around me, even when it's not immediately obvious.

These are things I've been trying to do before also, but adding more inspiration to that journey can never be a bad thing.

And of course we still have his music.

Losing Prince hit hard for many people.

No one even knew there was a problem of any sort until his plane landed in Moine.

I can say for me the world feels very dull, like a light went out and can not come back on. Dark

He was a true "GIFT" from God. He really was.....one of a kind, genuis, humble and loving human being.

I miss him and think about nearly every day, and I am just a fan.

Bless his family and close friends, they must feel horrible.

fan for life

I think being a Prince fan was different than being a fan of most others, really felt like we were a part of everything. I think about him a lot still.

I don't know where to go from here. There is no other artist that has ever intrigued me, kept me focused, inspired me in the way that Prince that does. I was never one to get into the mystique of Hollywood and all the stars, was never that way with musicians either. If I enjoyed their music, I listened to it and went about my merry way. But Prince pulled me to him in a way that no other artist (or person) ever did. There was something so special about him that I felt I had to (needed to) learn more about him, explore his music completely, read his interviews, get to know him. So, for me, I don't think I can turn to other artists, not the way I did Prince. I've always supported his proteges' if he were involved, because he brought some of that same magic to those acts, releases, etc., but will they be the same without his involvement? I will support them now, out of their love for Prince and knowing he would want us to do that, but just know if it will never be the same.

He touched my world in a way that no other artist has ever done. From here, I guess I stay right here.

Where do we go from here? We continue to love and support his music... with the amount of music he left us.. I still feel his presence .. very much so.. And I think he created so much for that purpose..

Only thing that can really be done is to find acceptance, there is no turning back the hands of time, no what if's, no should have's, no bargaining, no amount of denying. It just is. It's so incredibly sad. I don't think I could watch a made for TV movie, but inside, I know it's coming.

Isn't it something that the artists we miss the most became famous between 1964 and 1984? When "real music" was created - yes, I said it and I don't care. Prince was "old school" in many ways: I respect him so much more because he was a self-made man in all things. Plus he was gorgeous. But there is no one in the past nearly 40 years who could do what he did. I honestly don't listen to new music. Haven't for years. I play my favorites from the 60s, 70s and 80s and that's it.

That's easy -- stay right where you are and continue enjoying his music, videos, film(s), the official catalog itself is so sprawling, plus you have the good fortune of loving an artist that left an enormous amount of recordings and videos behind.

It's tragic he left us so soon, but if you're going to be a bereaved fan, this here is the best there is. Sure, a will is missing, but clearly the Estate is well advised, they know the vault is a treasure, so cross your fingers that some release plan will take shape and enjoy what is out there and what might very well come.

I'm sticking with Prince forever. He's left us with so much music and videos that it's always a fresh experience...I'm also going to buy and support whatever the estate will release in the future. As for the protege stuff, I'll be honest, for me the protege stuff has never really interested me much.

I think we all feel the same thing, not sure what, but something. I think that's why this hit so hard and we feel like we're in limbo. Not quite " to be continued" but something

admission is easy, just say U believe, then come 2 this place in your heart.

Same here. I hope if more comes out, it's not too soon. Baby steps. I need time to digest it all before I'm thrown into shock again.

Live life and try to live as Prince would have done.. with goodness in your heart, being compassionate to others, stepping in where you see a need and being a good person. I am lucky to have existed during the same time as this man ..I missed Mozart and Shakespeare and a few other geniuses but I caught this one so I'm content
