The Princeness is over people, but at least we have each other and all the music he left. The last two months have been a reality check though...never take people U for granted.

I, personally, am going to continue to listen to his music (from the vault- as they come, or listen to my favorite Prince music on my "favorites" list on YouTube), watch his interviews (Larry King, Mel B, and ANYTHING with Tavis Smiley are my faves), watch Purple Rain and UTCM (probably more UTCM, because it's funny, and I love a light-hearted Prince), SUPPORT THE HECK OUTTA SHEILA E. AND MAYTE (because they're both amazing people), and PRAY TO GOD that PP becomes a museum, because I WANNA GO SEE IT. "We had fun, didn't we?"

However, compared to today there is a huge huge difference, so I do appreciate what you said, and I certainly think of Prince as a real musician.

I think we all feel the same thing, not sure what, but something. I think that's why this hit so hard and we feel like we're in limbo. Not quite " to be continued" but something It's the revelation coming. I know.

Wow y'all, I agree with a lot of your postings! I too feel like someone said us Prince fans are in limbo right now just waiting on more word as to what caused him to leave this earth so soon, ie why did he take the Fentanyl. Also for me I feel music is dead and I cannot believe I am saying that, I love music all kinds of music. But for me too Prince was the only artist that I really connected too and was so unique and I have been hooked all this time. He was always my constant love, I changed musical genres that I have been interested into from Rock to R& B to Rap to New Wave/Alternative to Heavy Metal to Grunge to Goth, and recycling back through list again, I have tried it all. But Prince was always my main man and all the other artists could not even compare to him. He was so special, truly one of a kind. I am re-immersing myself into his music, not just certain albums and time periods, but all of it. And I am listening to his lyrics with a new set of ears. Watching is concerts just gives me live. I too feel Prince in his music, I feel he is still alive and speaking to us when we listen. So I listen to him every day, and some of his proteges and side project work. I am still in a funk beyond words like most of us. Feels like a bad trip and a half! "A strong spirit transcends rules." - Prince

Just because Prince is gone does not mean that it's over. This wasn't the average ordinary everyday artist here, this was Prince and he had a vault full of unreleased music that could go on for decades. . As for us, we continue to do the same thing we've always done. We wait for a new album to come out and then we buy it and listen to it. Then we praise it if we love it or we bitch about it if we hate it. The only thing that's changed is the person that we direct either our praise or bitching towards. This time we direct it toward the person who is in charge of choosing which songs to release. And if that person doesn't release the 1980s material first, he or she better be prepared for some major bitching. Andy is a four letter word.
