Yeah as soon as Prince's face came up on the piano I started crying...two months later and I'm still crying. Not sure if I'll ever stop.

I almost lost it in the middle of the coffee shop today. I was tearing up the whole time. Like, when I saw her cry, and the lyrics, and the beauty of the music... it moved me to no end!

I think that was the point in the video where it all sank in for us... we look back at him at that age and say, "Wow, he was SO YOUNG and full of life..." But he had more experiences within his 20 something years at that point than many have in 50... which makes the image of him all the more raw and real.

Update: I now have re-watched this video about 3-4 times, and ran it back to certain parts just to let myself cry. Seeing Sheila cry is so raw and heartbreaking. Two parts in particular made me cry. Number one is when she sings, "I don’t wanna wake up, I wanna be with you, Welcome to my world," And when she sings "...But I rocked your world, and somewhere deep inside you know you did the same." That's the part that cuts deep, because in that moment, I felt Prince telling Sheila that he loved her. Those lyrics are like an all-knowing passing glance being exchanged between the two of them, and it's up-close and personal. I love that she let us see that through her song. Maybe I'm mis-interpreting that lyric, but this is the image it brought to my mind when she sang it.

She's using the perfect timing to promote her song. Kind of a thin line she's walking. But I think that she also does have some regret probably because she didn't make peace with him while he was still alive. It's too late now but all one can do is write about regrets

I think she is totally sincere and honouring him musically is what comes natural to her.

Making money surely wasn't on her mind whilst writing this song - at least it doesn't sound like that to my ears.

Video is touching and sad. Fact of matter is P rocked a lot of Worlds. She seem like Mayte; who seem to be still in love with P. But at least Mayte did get to be a wife for awhile. All this seem a little confusing, like wildgoldenhoney said, "regret not making peace while he still was alive."
