That is the dual nature of man.

I think this goes back to how he reconciled his overt sexuality with spirituality.

Yes, Nimrod's birthday -

"Nimrod built the tower of Babel, the original Babylon, ancient Nineveh, and many other cities. He organized the world's first kingdom.

The name "Nimrod," in Hebrew is derived from "Marad," meaning "he rebelled."

From many ancient writings, considerable is learned of this man, who started the great organized worldly apostasy from God that has dominated this world until now.

Nimrod was so evil, it is said he married his own mother, whose name was Semiramis. After Nimrod's untimely death, his so-called mother-wife, Semiramis, propagated the evil doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being.

She claimed a full-grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, which symbolized the springing forth unto new life of the dead Nimrod.

The 25th of December is Nimrod's birthday

On each anniversary of his birth, she claimed Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts upon it. December 25th was the birthday of Nimrod. This is the real origin of the Christmas tree."

Hmmm

Nimrod is not an historical character, he's a construct (like King Arthur or Ragnar Lothbrok for example).

A bit like Moses, Jesus and Mohammad neutral

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

This song, btw, is one of the songs that was at his memorial service. A beautiful song about the resurrection that reflects what future hope he has of being brought to life again.

This is what he believed and what his hope for the future was.

These are the words...

"He Will Call"

Life, like a mist, appears for just a day, Then disappears tomorrow. All that we are can quickly fade away, Replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made: He will call; The dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing For the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, As the work of his own hand. Friends of our God, though they may pass away, Will never be forsaken. All those asleep who in God’s mem’ry stay, From death he will awaken. Then we’ll come to see all that life can be: Paradise eternally. He will call; The dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing For the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, As the work of his own hand.

Such beautiful lyrics. His ability to create such piercing lyrics was amazing. I often found it difficult to listen to the words ... they often touched a nerve and made me cry ... he was amazing ... I am still in such grief in his passing. Praying that He's in Heaven! God rest his soul.
