While I was at work tonight, I was thinking about the list I had put here the other day and decided, "Eh, why not make another one? Hell, why not focus on his prince output, just for the fun of it?" Here's what I came up with, including output with the NPG between 1994-1999

1) Endorphinmachine
2) What's My Name
3) Dinner With Delores
4) Pretty Man
5) Acknowledge Me
6) Rock & Roll Is Alive! (And It Lives In Minneapolis)

7) Dolphin
8) Somebody's Somebody (Live Studio Mix)
9) Come On - credited to NPG
10) Strange But True
11) The Most Beautiful Girl in the World (Single Version)
12) Love Sign - featuring Nona Gaye
13) The One - credited to NPG

14) The Love We Make

15) Saviour

16) Into The Light/I Will - Both songs as one track because its my list and I can do whatever I want lol The songs work better together anyway.
17) Gold

And then the disc has a bunch of blank tracks until we get to a hidden track.

49) Wasted Kisses

Overall, I dunno, I think this would be a pretty good best of Prince for his prince days. There are a lot of songs I cut that I really didn't want to, stuff like Eye Hate U, Get Wild, Count the Days, Days of Wild, and Goodbye to name a few. I did kinda cheat with Wasted Kisses by making it a hidden track, but I thought it was fitting that the track sneak into the list the same way it snuck onto NPS.

Purple is the color of my heart,
Bruised from you leaving me.

All of these lists are dope, but yours takes the cake, 15 minutes of Computer Blue, women are not butterflies and all of that, wow. You would need a big CD though, so I may cut the 4 minutes of guitar feedback at the end of.

She's always in my hair extended is really great too, and of course Annastesia, and 17 Days as the end jam. Wow inspired stuff. I mean I think a whole bunch of people would buy it, even though they have it all.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Aww thanx! These are the jamz I always played by Prince. These are the cutz that always kept me coming back 4 more. ^_^ Truth be told I wanted 2 add "Hide the Bone", but I just couldn't take any of these songs off my list to add it. lol. My hope is us the fans will get an box set with crisp and clear remastered versions of these jams. Sadly I don't know how long that will take with all the legal issues going on with the Prince estate.

Like others I find this almost impossible and it would depend on the criteria.

Personally I hate it when record companies call hits collections "The (Very) Best Of..." Because invariably that title is a misnomer!

while Warner Bros had already released the far superior The Hits vol 1 & 2 (actually another misnomer as there were plenty of album tracks on those sets) IMHO WB should have called TVBOP "Greatest Hits".

Saying that the original The Hits albums should have been "The Best Of..." (Although still subjective)

Then "Ultimate" should have been just that, a multi disc retrospective of his career mixing extended versions, with hits, obscure songs, album tracks and b sides to give people a good feel for the breadth of music Prince produced.
'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.
