I know seriously from around 93 to 96 I lost track of Prince. Got married, baby...U know so when I returned I think the NPGMC was what he was doing and I just wasnt trynna do that...probably shouldve though.

For all his talk about leaving things in the past, you will noticed a whole lot of his ideas never got left in the past, just shelved or put on hold for a minute.

Mostly shelved

Yeah true, but not forgotten, I believe that. You can see loops from his first albums even if it was just a simple concept, it came up many years later.

I did like semi-stalking Prince on his original Instagram and Twitter, both of which he deleted and recreated, I checked in on his 3rdEyeGirl one too. I never tweeted him though. Mainly cause I knew that he'd likely never respond and I don't wanna look like a weirdo if he's lurking on Twitter and reading through his messages by constantly tweeting him. I loved reading his interactions on there with the fans though.

As for on the Org, I mainy lurk on here so I doubt P noticed me. But GUYS, keep the stories coming!

Mum got us tickets 4 the SOTT gig...it was cancelled! Lovesexy came 2 town, I was broke
Sooo when Nude tour came I managed 2 go 2 seven gigs! (June-Aug) Peep thought I was nuts
The last night, 24 Aug, I had a front row! Thanks 2 Eillen Murton/Controversy fan mag (Bless her cotton socks!)
At the time I had P posters all over my walls. Everyone was excited 4 me, they all said "What if he sees U?!" I would cringe & say "Oh no, I don't want him 2 see me!" much 2 everyone's confusion. I thought ok it's a front row, but I'm sure it's gonna be at the edge, I can blend in. After yrs of privately studying him frm afar i wasn't ready 4 him 2 be looking back!

I had a friend who wasn't a hardcore collector, but had maybe 5 of his lp's. She really liked him & managed 2 go to a few of the wembley gigs.
She couldn't get tickets 4 the last show so came with me & waited outside.
We met up b4 the gig, she had bought a massive Chinese orchids bouquet & wanted me 2 throw them 2 him!!! What could I say?! They weren't cheap either. Oh dear no blending in 4 me now...

From I enter the arena all the way 2 my seat people are laughing, sniggering & pointing etc. By the time i reach my seat I've got a proper screw face on. I lean the bouquet against the partition in front of me. Then I look left & right up the row & at the bottom of his mic stand peeping out of the curtain... It hits me! I'm bang smack in the middle!!!

There's a Chinese girl next 2 me on my left, next to her is a guy, he's staring at me 2. He gets a dirty look frm me, my backs up at this point. Then he says my name! Turns out he's only a pen pal/collector of mine frm Controversy mag who'd Sent me tons of boot cassettes thru the mail! We hug, crushing the girl between us (Steve Cleary if you're out there )
