Nah... only the true suckers paid for that. What are they going to say after plunking down money they probably can't afford and wasting a night out? That's why he's playing small venues on short notice.

Next up: Prince is going to sell out neighborhood coffee houses, lol. And I'm sure there will be at least a couple of delusional fans posting how successful it was and that he works for cheap, but only because he really doesn't need money. biggrin

I love the old-school Prince, and I really can't stand the new and improved version.

You're still talking out of your ass and making up fairytales. Grown ass man making up fairtyale after fairytale after fairtyale. Explain how you know for sure that all the fans who went to the micrphone tour "wasted" a night out? What makes them a sucker? What evidence do you have to back up why Prince chose this format? Are you going speak intelligent facts or continue to make up stories?

As far as the other part of your post, that's just jealous hateration screaming through you. lol

Common sense. You should try it sometimes.

You're mistaking common sense for Assumptions. And you're still not backing up your fairytales.

Eye don't know why this person or the main other negative person is continued 2 b listened to on this site.

And yes, by 'delusional fans', who claim Prince's REGRESS is SUCCESS, I did mean you. biggrin

Prove that's he's not successful.

I'm guessing the new album title will make the original "Hit N Run Phase two" version quite collectable!

We're here, might as well get into it.

prince appears to be moving backward in percieved time with each phase in relation to when the songs were recorded. perhaps phase 3 will give us a taste of the 20ten deluxe edition

I love Phase Two but I don't have it on CD yet. I can't speak for anyone else but the reason I didn't buy it is because even though I love the album, I couldn't justify the expense or the hassle of importing the CD to Ireland. If I see it in HMV or Tower Records, then I will buy it. The only Prince album I've ever seen instore that I didn't buy was Phase One. And that's because I only like 2 or 3 songs and I wouldn't want to encourage Prince to do more of that trashy dance crap that ruined the first half of the album. Though, having said that, the collector in me is making me want to buy it just to have it.

By the way, apologies to thedance. I know you like Phase One so don't take it personally that I referred to it as trashy dance crap. That kind of music actually makes me feel ill but if you (or others) like it, then that’s cool. I much prefer Phase Two (aside from the first two tracks).

Somebody tell me again how Prince has $300,000,000 dollars, yet he's reduced to touring with nothing but a sampler and selling whack wannabe-jazz albums for chump change out the back of PAISLEY PARK and working for a former crack dealing rapper, who fosho don't know anything about 'real music by real musicians'. I imagine Jay does this as a favor to Beyonce, who is on some type of 'I'm the new MJ' tip, so by extension I suppose that also means she's obliged to throw Prince a bone every now and then to feel like she is an 80's icon too.

interesting take. actually, this reminds me of Prince bringing Larry, Chaka, George Clinton, etc. into his camp and music 20-30 years ago.

This is all pathetic - everything to do with the distribution and promotion of his new music is absolutely awful. I paid 18 bloody pounds for the CD. He's just a moron when it comes to selling his new music. I love the CD, but I should have been able to buy it 4 months ago for ten pounds!

oh grow a pair..you are angry at your own dumb ass for paying 18.00 for a CD! Any fool could predict it would get a wide release given the hugely positive reviews. As for your comment..even that twat Neal Karlen agrees he's a bloodt sharp businessman. Suggest you go wallow over your precious 18.00..bless!

HNR Phase 2 was not available to buy in Europe, neither was Judith Hill's great debut. I will definitely but it if it is available in stores here, but I am not going buy a cd online from overseas, with all the shipping costs plus additional taxes.

and NOW they suddenly are saying they are gonna buy..... after several months...

that doesn't make much sense to me... eek

Just thought I'd point out that I actually got the album from funk4u in the US and it was about £3.00 cheaper than Amazon are selling the pre order for at the moment, you're argument about taxes and shipping costs doesn't really hold up, I paid £14.99 including shipping, Amazon are advertising the album as being just under £18.00 and that's without shipping included.
I wanted what was yours, now I just want u 2 care

Wait until the Amazon UK release date, then you'll see marketplace sellers selling it for around a tenner including postage.

PHASE TWO is boring, bland and stale... If people consider this a good PRINCE album... Then y'all must be way up there in age... lol

...and don't forget way up there in CLASS too! Phase II isn't a good Prince album...it's a GREAT Prince album. Maybe it's the age that allows us to recognize greatness and not youth which allows for retention of irrelevant and meaningless sound... rolleyes

as a 12 year old in the 2000's... i started listening to Prince... so i guess since i was young... i found meaningless sound??

no, that's the ignorance, as much as i say the "older" fans like phase 2 because it's more of a generic feel.

if u like phase 2 i respect it. i don't. it's nothing new, it's not sophisticated as everyone says it is... it's not a bad album, but it's not a great prince album... the energy isn't raw, it's bland... in my opinion...

im really a fan of LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT U, and REVELATION is a beautiful song... one of his best "slow" songs of this era amongst Future Soul Song and Somewhere Here On Earth...

everything else just has a "blandness" towards it... Black Muse started off good but then it started to drag out and sound too redundant...
