One of the better post-80s album...musically for sure.

But i must admit, beside all christian spiritual impact that goes through rainbow children - lyrically, that Jehovah's Witness is really a last place on earth where you going 2 learn something about christianity [it is consider 2 be one of the most destroying sects inside christianity] i mean... what was on Prince mind, man...probzably that Larry Graham influence was big..

"The opposite of NATO is OTAN"

Musically and lyrically a great album.

If I could remake a prince track it would be "Muse to the Pharaoh" or "Space".

Muse would be the first choice.

Why Space

Sometime we all feel like going back home.

I would say they are the no.1. As far as i know about christianity and their teachings. They are known for denying probably the whole christan dogmatics, even if they accept something from theology of the last 2000 yrs of Christianity they understanding of that is so out of control. All the old heresies, which christianity fought through history they resurrected. lol Not to talk about they intrusive praxis of missionary work...

People love to hate on The Rainbow Children, but... it's as good as anything he's ever done. It's a top-rank Prince album: 1999, SOTT, Parade, Purpe Rain, Dirty Mind - it's there. Musically, it rips my dick out everytime I listen to it - and my dick loves it so much it grows back for next time! Pay attention to the lyrics or not - they're not that probelmatic, and they're way more interesting than asking 'Where the party be?' or who's got most bank or whateve.

That's a lie, just the same old stereotypes; the only ones who commit these heresies are the catholics, the catholic church is the desvil's church.

I really dont need to play some christian apologetic here, but with JW and all christian communities that exist circa last 150yrs, from 1850s till this days, story is almost the same. Founding fathers of those communites and so called 'churches' have nothing 2 do with apostolic tradition. That's just the fact. If you have aversion against Catholic Church [and they are by far authentic christan community] don't forget that beside Catolics u have other authentic churches - Eastern Christianity a.k.a Orthodox Church [people on the west know those like Greek, Russian etc. part of eastern orthodox is also Orthodox Church in America] and Oriental Orthodox [known as Coptic, Ethiopian, Armenian etc.]

I am slightly aware of that, i just mentioned JW cause one member said about 'dogmatic bullshit' that runs through the album...but with JW dogmatic has nothing 2 do with christianity, cause they deny everything that is theologically valid in christianity.

True. They don't believe in heaven and hell, just a Utopia that will begin with the numbered few . Closer to Judaism only they do not believe it is someone divine who will start the new world, just a coming together of everyone as one. i.e. Beginning in Jerusalem which according to Morgan Freeman's Nat Geo travel research documentary, will be when Solomon's Temple will be rebuilt.

After the spark that puts you into the circle of life...."Every soul must return...into the light" i.e. back where you came from. (I think).

You just reminded me.

I want to experiment with the formants on this cd and see if I can get Prince's normal voice back without destroying the actual music of the tracks.
