So I seem to remember he had a fall on stage hence the cane. But you obviously never see him with one on stage and he is very agile and mobile on stage.

So is he a real life yoda or gene wilder as willy wonka when you first see him or does he just need the cane when he is walking or is it just a statement?

I think some of the other "fashion statement" clothing items and 'props' he's started using on a consistent basis, along with his age and the years of dancing and high heels, strongly supports the alleged hip trouble reports.
