Absolutely. And I know Prince stated that the song was fiction, but I later wondered if there was a connection between "Another Lonely Christmas" and "Cherry, Cherry" from the NPG "Exodus" CD.

which rhymes with senseless. Strep and syphillis son't rhyme at all LOL! Love this song but never considered it a Christmas song. I play it all year round.

Is there an official lyric sheet anywhere? Because I've been hearing 'syphilis' since 1984.

Sure, 'senseless' is a more palatable choice because of syphilis's 'ick factor', but the disease is certainly something that can kill you.

We need an official lyric sheet.
