Exactly but they did not come out. We need a really good show as all we have is Rave, Aladdin and 85 syracuse. That is not much for an artist who has been around as long as he has. I have an equal number of live dvd releases from Body Count and they only have 5 albums and barely tour. Prince should have a bunch out. It is really a shame he doesn't

DVD is sooo compressed it should be banned as a format. Even Blu-ray is massively compressed but it's a major step up from DVD.

Actually betamax had better quality picture. The tapes couldn't fit over an hour of tape though. So when home releases of movies were made...betamax movies would take more than one tape to fit a movie...so VHS's length over quality won over betamax's quality over length. Hmmmm....

Maybe that was the case in the USA, but in Europe an entire movie would fit easily on one Beta tape. I think I still have a few somewhere.

The other day, my 20 year old niece came to my house. When she saw the 1988 Dortmund show, she was blown away !

Even if it was a real quest to find these gems and maybe that's why i cherish them more than a lot of official stuff, i really don't understand for a live performer as he is, that he doesn't release more live stuff from all periods even if i've got a lot of them to this day.
