Well, every robe or housecoat I've ever seen buttons down the front. What he's wearing probably zips up in the back. On a woman, it's called a dress. On a man, it's called...... a dress. We'll compromise though, we'll call it a gown instead.

Well, unless it's a Snuggie, it looks like a dress to me. I promise you, if it was a woman in the picture wearing it, people would just simply casually say.... "Oh, look at that dress she's got on.". Robes and housecoats wouldn't even enter the mind. And who the hell would wear a robe or housecoat out to a dressup affair anyway? Prince already did that back in The Family era and they actually looked like robes, housecoats, pajamas, etc. Honey, that thang is a dress!

All the people saying Prince wore a dress here or there don't ever seem to have any kind of photo to prove it...

to be honest, i didnt know that was photoshopped... i just figured Prince was being Prince ... the guy that wore thong panties and high heels and stockings/legwarmers and halter tops on stage in '79-'81 ... it wouldnt have been much of a reach for him to wear that dress/hat combo... im glad its not real though...

I made a small post telling people that I remember seeing a picture 30 years ago in a newspaper (very vividly I might add - and admittedly before I re-searched for it), I got my ass handed to me by hypersensitive people like TheDigitalGardner, Genesia, and even OldFriends4Sale. I wasn't expecting that - I may not post every day here, but I've been a member for a while, and I was just making a post about something I remember seeing. (BTW, it wasn't the picture that was posted above).

I even stated I wasn't happy about seeing it. So It doesn't make sense to me why they think I would lie about this.

That's why when other people were starting in, I said 'forget it' - it wasn't worth it. I know I said I wasn't going to bring it up again, but after seeing the above post I couldn't resist.

What sucks about all of this is in the handful of discussions (and PMs) you and I have had, OF4S, we seemed to get on well. I still love the threads you create.

Maybe you are talking about this picture, which the image is brightened by the flash making the photo look weird. Here he is in the following photos in a better light. But I don't know if this is close to what you are talking about. But Prince hasn't worn a dress..

This pic is still hilarious either way, and no that's no overexposed or anything weird going on with the colors. Look at his belly, his hand, the woman's hand, etc.. none of that is overexposed, and his frilly white scarf (or jacket?) isn't blown out. He's just wearing a lot of foundation/geisha makeup on his face.
