Its ok. Sounds somewhat by the numbers but has potential. Certainly doesnt sound like a continuation of AOA, which is a shame. Maybe this is the NPG album that was hinted at last year and has Big City on it?

I am a little pensive about this release. First of all the cover bothers me. I actually thought the cover for AOA was really good and properly produced, yet this one slides too far into the cheap side - not the picture, just the use of the fonts (I'd just take em off).

Baltimore I thought was mediocre and now Stare also does not sound like I'll warm to it straight away. It's a trip down 20Ten's lane and that bothers me. After AOA, which put standards and expectations high again, maybe this one might need to be a "grower". I hope it will be 'new funk' than old.

I quite like Stare, love the organic soundscape and how the guitars work together, and his vocal delivery is pretty good too. I would like it to be a bit more experimental with a few unexpected turns here and there but I guess it could have that already knowing P Promising indeed!

He was hinting at a proper funk album for a couple of years now, I hope this is it. I love that grove.

Same here. I like that the cover looks like some sort of lost bootleg. I'm hoping for some deep funk. Loving the sound of 'Stare'.

New Prince music is always good news. I was afraid we had to wait some years for new music. I cannot judge this music by these short snippets. I am all in for some funk, but I cannot hear funk…perhaps I need to hear the whole song to figure it out. Bring us the newfunk Mr. Nelson.

Not MORE newsworthy (after all, it's just snippets)--but certainly worth being on the front page. But I think every legitimate release or stream from within the camp should show on the front page.
