This is via a different company than the original? ie this seems to be a charity which has one of these (donated by OPUS). So you're not buying direct from Opus as was the case last time.

I sent them the following message. There's just no way this is legitimate. I'll post any reply I get:

How can this be legitimate? As far as anyone can tell, exactly ONE Prince Opus was ever delivered. There are people that paid $2,100 for a Prince Opus in 2009 that still have received neither an Opus, a refund, or even a reply from Karl Fowler.


And a real meet and greet with Prince? I've been following the man since 1978 and if there is a meet and greet with him, it will be the first one he's ever done. He just doesn't do them - for anyone, ever. Are you sure about this? Do you have it in writing from Prince himself that he will come through? Not knocking Prince, just letting you know this is so far out of the norm for him that no one whose followed Prince could possibly believe he'd do this.


IMHO, y'all need to check, double-check and triple-check this out before taking anyone's money. I hope this is all on the up-and-up and you get a lot of money for worthy causes but if I was you, I would not cash anyone's check until I knew that ALL the terms of this deal are legitimate. Good luck!

Apparently went well from the girls account, granted I think most of the time was spent with the girls (Prince didnt eat with them) but he spent time with her and one of two of her family I believe.

Yes and he even gave her and close friends invited to PP at last minute a private show... The winner was flown out to PP from Califrnia last October and was here for a couple of days...

As far as the Opus thing though...

The Prince podcast did a interview with her, PurpleLove7 from Tacoma, she was flown to Mplaya, shown around Paisley Park, got to see a Private concert with Prince and 3rd eye girl, had dinner with 3rd eye girl and judged a dancing contest all at the Park.

But that Opus shit, who the fuck would want to win a book with some jewelz and a lame add 7 year old ipod with the lamest album Prince has ever made on it. What is next, expired Purple Nightcaps condoms for each entry as well.

Well let's hope they also checked with Prince himself as well just to make sure he is still agreeing with the "Meet and Greet" part of it

If Prince is really involved with this then, I'd guess he was hurting for cash. Musta looked around The Vault and saw all those Opus Ipods and figured he could cash one in. If Marvin Gaye was still around I bet he'd be doing similar shit.
