Prince guitar on Warfield's Your Show?

Have to say, I usually don't like Prince protege albums at all, but I'm loving Liv Warfield's new album.

Blackbird would be a great single but The Show is my favourite.

Anyone know for sure if the guitar solo is Prince?

The track is called 'Your show'. She said Prince wrote the lyrics. The cd is being discussed in the Associated Artists section.

It would be nice if there was someplace to

read the credits/personnel for the music.

I know Prince wrote the unexpected and

co-wrote your show with Warfield but beyond

that I got no idea who wrote the other songs

or who performs. confused

Liv just posted on Twitter that you can download the "digital booklet" as a pdf from her website. It has full album art, songwriting and production credits, etc.

At the bottom of the page where it says "click here to download digital booklet".

nice to see that NPG logo on CD again (albeit digital).

PS interesting to see that Prince is only actauly on Your Show, not The Unexpected!

Yes, I see on the credits for 'The Unexpected' track it states intruments played by: Ryan Waters/Tyrone Hendrix/Chris Turner/Marquay Seamster, but it does state that Prince wrote the lyrics for 'The Unexpected', and co-wrote the track 'Your Show' with Liv. Nice album.

I saw that but thought Associated Artists seemed the wrong place for a post about a song that Prince is performing on.

I didn't care much for this track at first but I listened to it again last night and its starting to grow on me. It looks like the NPG played on it so its probably Prince playing guitar.

Change it one more time..

Are Superconductor, Raise Up and this, the only Prince related (with track contributions by him) associated albums of the last couple of years?

Did that Shelby J one ever come out?

(Edited for compliance)

"VH1 Soul You Oughta Know artist and Prince protégé Liv Warfield is dropping her latest album The Unexpected today."

The album, which Liv describes as “alternative R&B soul”, also has the influence of Prince, who Liv spent the majority of her career touring with. In fact, Liv tells us, Prince served as the album’s executive producer and co-wrote the song “Your Show” as well as title track “The Unexpected“.

Let me correct that info about who wrote 'Your Show'. According to the credits on Liv's cd:

Prince and Liv co-wrote 'Your Show' and produced by Prince

Instruments: Played by New Power Generation

Prince wrote 'The Unexpected' and produced by Liv Warfield;

co-produced by Ryan Waters/Tyrone Hendrix

Instruments: Ryan Waters/Tyrone Hendrix/Chris Turner/Marquay Seamster
