I saw the chorus as:

Having sex is fun (pretzelbodylogic)

Oral sex is great (each other on each other's tongue)

You taste each other's orgasms (taste the bittersweet)

Then your bodies untangle afterwards (undone)

And you lay there together, too exhausted from blissful pleasure to have anger or negativity (too sleepy to get the gun)

Right!

I agree. I don't know what kind of convoluted logic beekbeek was applying...but it sure as hell wasn't pretzel body logic...haha...bad joke..lol. But anyways...this makes more sense and was stated more clearly than I was as able to.

At this point I think the person was just making stuff up to frustrate me a la imago's 'every song is about vaginas' bit

lol Maybe?

It'll be a little different for everyone most likely. What I see in Verse 1 is that two people got a good nights sex session. Verse 2, is to reminisce. Verse 3, all is good, time for a 3-way. And all that while still remembering there is a to-do list waiting. superman

I don't think verse 3 is about a 3-way. I think Prince points out the limo driver is female because she could look in the rear view mirror & see the action in the limo. Verse 3 may also be talking about NORMAL SEX, not oral sex, because if you ever have heard Little Red Corvette the extended version, Prince sings "I'm gonna try to tame your little red love machine," so we know what the meaning of the song title is. Well, at the end of the song Prince sings "the ride is so smooth you must be a limousine," so Prince could be using this word the same way in PRETZELBODYLOGIC when he sings "another limousine about to get a load." See how I reached this conclusion??????

It happens a lot...Booked 2 hotel rooms instead of 3. Booked the car to the airport, but didn't pay the fair in advance. No meal per diem, or not enough of one. Sometimes it's just little things, but they count.

It's hardly a hit, isn't a hit defined by it's chart position?

Who cares? Its a good rock n roll song. True rock hasnt been on the radio forever as popular music. The only things that are hit singles are pop or pop influenced songs. Id rather have Prince pumping out real uncut rock jams than being a radio sell out or whoring for charts.

Its good music. Just because it doesnt appeal to the pop scene doesnt mean its bad.

"The Unexpected" is a much better song than this, yet he gives it to Liv Warfield. Good lyrics too - it shows he can still write not cringe-worthy lyrics.
Why does he keep giving away good songs, and releasing the lesser stuff himself? Odd.

You are saying that Prince is going to have casual sex with a female limousine driver who happens to be cute that he just met??? Ok, but that's not how I interpret it. The lyric "load" further proves the point I was making earlier in this thread when I was saying that "get the gun" = erection because a gun is LOADed. I also didn't mention the lyrics "undone" & "logic" show that Prince & his girlfriend did not DO anything, only THOUGHT about it, until verse 3.

Okay. But to me they are "undone" by sex, and too tired from it to deal with business drama mentioned in the 1st verse. The chorus is, to me, about oral sex.

Okay, everyone, I gave it some time to listen to this song, re-listen, put it away for a while, listen again.

My verdict: it's a good song.

I like the whole live vibe of the song, the chorus (which is not just a guitar riff, like in FixUrLifeUp or a handful of his other rock-oriented songs). I like his voice in this song; too many of his recent output has him singing like he doesn't mean it (see: FixUrLifeUp, chorus not incl.) Pretzelbody... is playful, showcases the band. It makes me think of I No, actually. It is hit sensitive, not in the way that it will hit the charts (who cares, right?), but in the sense that it sticks in your memory.

The genre is very basic rock, but because of the chorus still a little edgy.

Like any Prince fan, I'm starting to fantasize about what the album will sound/be like. And, while not disliking some of the other songs he put online or the dance song from 'New Girl', I am really starting to hope for a more than 13 song, rock album.

I am a fan of The Rainbow Children and LotusFlower, but these albums still hava their flaws, because I think P tries to cover every musical genre in each album. I hope, with the girls, Prince will really select only the rock-oriented cuts and make it sound like one big concept album. That is also what the first official teaser press quotes make it sound like.

And don't think Screwdriver, Live Out Loud and FixUrLifeUp are life changers, but on the other hand, it would be nice to see that P and the girls made some bold choices in making a concept album, instead of attempting to put every genre in one album.

The every genre on an album thing bugs m sometimes as well. I like the berth of his talents...but it feels like eating at the RIO(in Vegas... very good) buffet WAY too often. While a the variety is nice and can be compelling (sometimes more than others), a solid dish exploring and narrowed menu gives it opportunity to be explored with greater finness, depth, and a thoroughness that buffet dining can't offer to Italian, Asian, French, or Indian cuisine on its own.

I wasn't fond of the song at first, but now, I sort of like it. The chorus (especially the INTRO) is awful, but the song is catchy, Prince's vocals are good and it sounds good played loud (which I found out when it was played over the PA at Koko). It's nothing great, but if Wow (the Prince version of The Unexpected?) and Plectrum Electrum are anything to go by it'll be the worst song on the album... which isn't too bad.
