IDK. He kinda has me grossed out by the whole Serpan thing right now. I think this is the first time I actually felt like moving on.

He hasn't had a tantrum on a record in, like, forever. lol

True. Sadly, true. I've liked things he's done recently, but it would be nice for him to just plain lose it vocally. Just plain pitch a fit.

More mediocre music? .......hmm......nah, no thanks. I'm @ the point where I only want to hear better quality 80's bootlegs. lol The new songs are boring, mixed very poorly, & Prince is half-assing it vocally. He hasn't had a tantrum on a record in, like, forever. lol

THANK YOU!

I was trying to figure out what to call these things of his from the 80s & some of the 90s.

Tantrums!

I miss the little momments like in Darlin Nikki or If I was Ur Girlfriend where we'd

get some kind of really flamboyant all-out gay-to-the-max hissy fit. I.....LOVE...THAT...SHIT

But now, even his fey hissy-fit at the end of 3121's The Dance felt more like a camp, girly

contrived tantrum to try and make a boring ass song more exciting.

I miss his hissy-fits.....his...tantrums. mushy

Oh Titty...sometimes you're like oracle around these parts. hug

Yea, maybe I thought he had gained some humility in his old age, especially with him being devoted to his faith for so long. But he's "still that dude," I guess.

Why do you think that aspect is making you feel so down, schlomo?

I think it's just the hipocrisy of preaching the Word and love4oneanother, while being completely unapologetic about his little mean streak.

I hear ya.

I am just wondering now - are they really in contradiction with one another? Perhaps, he sees them as two completely different things - artistic rights being one thing (and I'll put a foot in the a$$ of Jim Crow) and believing in God is another thing (where he creates a song like The Grand Progression).

Maybe the Gemini twins in him have the potential to be aggressive and ugly one day, whilst being capable of also being humble, subservient and giving the other?
