A Wonderful Day, yea or nay!

The Wendy and Lisa opening singing bogs it down until Prince sings and it starts to cook. Not a great song of the period, but pretty damned listenable. A catchy little tune. Worth a listen.

I like how it was used in Under The Cherry Moon with the Butterscotch/Chocolate scene. Classic Prince!

It's weird because the instrumental clip in the movie is a wham-bam slap down killer,

but somehow that all gets kind of lost in the A Wonderful Day song. It's interesting though.

I of course would always love to hear the whole instrumental cut, but having AWD is cool even

though it ends up being by no means a go-to song..

I guess I would have to give it a yay for the instrumentention and the attenpt to make a

song out of it.

Meh. Smells like filler.

Think the Vault or something said it might've used on the album almost as a placeholder until a better track with the same feel was recorded. I go with that.

This is one of those songs that gets in my head and won't leave for days. It's a quirky little tune that is definitely filler/vault material. I still dig it and that percussion is ridiculous.

But THIS is the sort of stuff I wish was on Crystal Ball. He has so many of these one off tunes, esp from that era that us fans eat up.

Yeah

I always thought it was created for the movie

and just worked out as a whole song.

Something similar to Honest Man.

It is filler, not as nice as Our Destiny or Roadhouse Garden.
