Exactly, he was supposed to go after Farrakhan but once he was in there he realized he was not dealing with Vanilla Ice and softballed the interview.

You are on point. But, in relation to your other post, I wouldn't say that Hall "punked out." Unfortunately, when people get misguided information, they will have a misguided perception about an incident or person, but then when they have a conversation with that person they may develop more insight or clarity. I would be amazed if Hall didn't know how intelligent and well-rounded Farrakhan is before he met him, regardless of how he may have felt about his religious and political ideals. Yet, it seems that once he met Farrakhan and heard his ideas from him rather than from third and fourth parties, Hall seemed to realize that he had not been given all of the information or that he needed to develop his own perception of Farrakhan. And, while I doubt that Hall could regain his past level of popularity, it would be interesting to see how he would handle the same situation if given a second chance. In either case, it is sad that a wildly popular television show was cancelled because two black men of differing ideologies decided to discuss issues germane to improving the African American community.
