Group Prince's albums into 3 categories Prince has an amazing catalog of records. But recently it seems that the more he releases, the more he taints his legacy. How would you group his albums into 3 categories?

The Rainbow Children does deserve it's own category. Instrumentally, it's in his top 5 ever. Lyrically, it's his worst, by far.

It's all a matter of preference really. Prince himself sees his releases in terms of a growing process on different levels. My current rankings look something like: A) Great The Rainbow Children Lotus ATWIAD B) for now Middle Ground For You Lovesexy C) my not so favs but still love Musicology Rave No justice, No peace | |

2. Albums that i either like 50 percent of the songs, Or I just Like the ALbum overall Around the world in a day Prince Batman The Truth Musicology New Power Soul (SHOCKER ITS ACTUALLY QUIET DECENT)
2.5 ALBUMS that a few songs make the album but majority i don't like Crystal Ball Grafitti Bridge 20ten One night alone live belongs as 2.25 Indigo nights really belongs as a 2.25 Emancipation(if it was only disk 3 with addition of holy river, betcha, it might be a 2)
2.75 Albums that Don't make me shut off the stero but don't get me going and after listening to whole album make me say oh was i listening to something Lovesexy Chaos and Disorder Most of emancipation
