If you're talking about 20pr1nc3 and 3rd eye as the two web sites, I believe 3rd eye is a testing ground to iron out the glitches before properly going live.

It's poor PR/Marketing to have a web address no-one remembers or can type in easily, I had to keep clicking on the link via the .org as I couldn't remember it or be bothered to type it in each time.

I guess he was advised or he decided it's better to just have an easy URL to type and remember....

OR he fired the designer and a new one has taken over...not outside the realms of Prince land....

As to 3rdeyegirl probably a testing ground for fan's devotion / trying stuff out.

Yep. Those two. I guess we'll see. Just strikes me as weird is all.

I'm assuming they will both merge into one and 3rdeye will be the shopping area of the prince2013 website, but who knows...

yeahthat I'm trying my best to forget but I believe the same thing happened for lotusflow3r.?
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Its crazy that he doesnt promote it on the 20prince website(or whatever it is). The 3rd eye noone outside of Prince.org will ever find. His website so far seems like a waste. I hope things are coming including a news page. So far his website has not mentioned the songs for download, the billboard mag, the grammys appearance or any other upcoming news. For me Prince.org is still the only Prince website. Maybe one day he will get his stuff together to where our first choice will be to go to his website. Until then the org is the only place to halfway find out whats going on

This would have been 100% true in 2005. With facebook and twitter, anytime he does something, one superfan will find out, and in 20 minutes, half the fanbase knows it happened or at least has a post on their fb page with the info. Having two websites is beyond stupid, and having a website that is not easy to spell or remember is even worse, but at least he's moving in the right direction, by getting an easy to remember name.

When you factor in Facebook, Twitter, Prince.org, and then add word of mouth, most Prince fans have an idea of what is going on. Of course, he still could do better, but he is doing better this year than any in the recent past.

At this point, yall should know it's the only logical explanation.

I'm guessing one site is to sell music and the other is for video (live streams, promo vids, concert films, etc.).

Not that it's important really, but now the prince2013.com/indexie.html seemed to disappear... You know, the one that said 2coming soon". It leads back to prince2013.com.

Sometimes I think he's trying to build up the site by himself, in which case he's NOT talented in html as in music, but go ahead P, you can improve with time lol

Anyway, this doesn't look like a professionist's work, does it? I had a web shop years ago and I was messing with it just the same... Of course I was doing it all by myself and I'm quite helpless with html...

But I think we'll end up with a main site and a shop. That's what logic calls for. Let's wait and see if logic is indeed part of it all wink

I think he doesn't want people to think he's conforming, so he's trying to anonymously release his stuff on twitter without people calling him out on it.

I think they're probably both experiments in that regard. He needs to make sure that whatever website he eventually settles on will be close to 100% idiot proof before he publicizes it outside the hardcore fan community. The complaints on the org from people who claim they aren't able to download their stuff would pale in comparison to what he would be dealing with now if he had gone on the Grammys last night with a T-shirt advertising 3rdeyegirl.com or prince2013.com and brought thousands of people to the site. I haven't had any problems downloading stuff, and it's good to see that there is now a FAQ and a way to contact whoever is administering the 3rdeyegirl site. But it's not ready for prime time yet.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

Funny how an artist that has had one form of a website on and off for around 17 years still has to have an initial phase to work out the bugs. Most artists who launch a website, launch it, and it's ready, no complaints, no problems. Of course, this is el cheapo Prince here, who probably pandered his way to the cheapest possible way to get the site, and maybe even free from some low cost web developer who happens to be a fan
