i wouldn't mind hearing a stripped down band that revolved around a tight, simple rhythm section and prince wanking his guitar to jiggery pokery. it doesn't need to sound like chaos n dysentery which has none of those elements. i'm not talking coca cola rock, more like stoner rock.

for me he's losing a bit of his zip, that comes with age. but it doesn't mean the good shit has to stop. it just means it's time for a rethink. slow the grooves down, fatten them out. i'd love to see prince abandon the arenas and tackiness of this show-band, light entertainment, greatest hits for idiots, sound he's been stuck on for years. get off that stupid symbol stage and get back to the clubs, get a hardcore feel again.

and lastly and most importantly he must come round to my place and smoke copious amounts of marijuana, the good trippy stuff, a nice silver haze perhaps. i've got a volcano vapouriser so his delicate wee lungs won't be harmed.

Yeah the studio version seems in the same vein as Fury vs the live version. I dig the vocals though and can't wait to hear the rest. Too hard to tell from the sample where that track is going to go. It will probably be rerecorded half a dozen times w/ a different title by the time the album ever sees the light of day

Stack this against RNR Affair & it's like two totally different artists, wait where have i heard that before...

Yeah the studio version sounds a bit weaker, but that's pretty usual right we've been here before.

Again though RNR is the single, this is, well we don't know yet, but even the snippet is better than RNR. Oh Prince, you so screwy!

Well i like itt more than RNR love affair however to me its only marginally better. If he was going for a more rock sound id prefer to hear him play something more like dreamer.

In the Dr FB website there is a short clip of the studio version of the song and the lyrics.

Both versions sound GREAT!!!

People are never happy with anything Prince does these days! Just enjoy what the LIVING LEGEND has in store for us instead of criticizing everything. Geesh! This snippet sounds better than the entire "C&D" Album. I also like the fact that he's got the 3 white chicks rocking out!

Hey there. Thanks, but as I said previously, Facebook is blocked where I work, so any video that links to Facebook will be blocked.

I HAVE, however, found both clips now without Facebook. The studio version 29 second and the one I mentioned before... audition/rehearsal clip = 30 seconds.

I am loving both. Can't wait to hear more.

Honestly I just took the message at the end as a tease for the full rehearsal version.

You know when Prince says "vault" or "unreleased" he's usually talking about stuff he's into now, but he knows we think he means the other.
