'Celebretards' ??!! Calm down mate, no need for the derogatory words. Z-list celebs, or 'famous for being famous' will do. Don't care about the famous, just defending the most vulnerable in society. I mean, you wouldn't use derogatory racial terms, hey?

i've never heard famous people be called the most vulnerable in society, but then they do often fall for drugs and booze and made up religions. and if jimmy saville was about, who knows what could have happened to them

i think p-diddy, if the stupid name isn't enough, proved you should never go full retard with his stevie wonder made prince outfit

You seemed to have missed the bit where I wrote 'Don't care about the famous..'

Obviously, the most vulnerable in society refers to what some sniggeringly like to call 'retards'.

If you set your mind free matey,

maybe you'll understand,

starfish and coffee,

I hope you understand.

Let's not hold our breath.

The thread's about the DVD. When you watch the DVD it's full of a certain kind of 'individual'. Real 'stars' at the top of their game who have undeniably worthless opinions. I'm sure it would've been better without them. Who wants to see, much less hear anything of Beverly Knight, let alone the hollow headed Naomi? Better to just carry on with the live shots. He loves it though doesn't he, look at the video he played before each show. It was embarrassing. My missus says she felt retard, or did she say really tired, I can't remember.

i think you are getting confused. a retard is a derogatory term. celebretard is a derogatory term referring to celebrities

someone with a disability is not a retard, the word retard should not be used to describe such people. you may consider such people retards, but i don't. that may be an old mindset, but society has moved on a lot since then. maybe one day you can move on yourself

I think you need to read back what you have written. Are you really saying that when someone is calling someone a retard that they are not saying that that person is so stupid that they are like a 'retard'? I wouldn't call someone with special or a learning dissability a retard but there are a lot of mean spirited people who do. You obviously don't know the history behind this word. You're the one whose confused.

these days when people use that phrase it's pretty much universally used as a derogatory term, and not in reference to people with disabilities. i'm very much familiar with the history of the word, which is why i know that you are very much confused

similarly there are certain other words that can misten in it's use. perhaps before you start picking people up on a choice of words you have a look a bit deeper into the meaning of what is being said. context plays a huge part in the intended meaning to a word, and no-one here has used that word in the way you appear to think

There is a 21 nights dvd doing the rounds.

I read somewhere that almost every limo used by the interviewees had very wet windows upon arrival. Sources that were in earshot of one of the drivers reported he had bemoaned the fact that there had obviously been some windowlicking going on which he was duty bound to clear up.

Don't know if it's true or not but there ya go.

is the footage that was on that opus thingy the same as what is on this '21' dvd?

looks like to have been just a promotional dvd - not for retail - the reason I think so is because of the short length.

no-one seems to have received a copy of the opus ipod with the footage to compare. it certainly hasn't leaked and i've never known anyone to have one, but the video time and description suggests it is

we have no idea of the origins behind that video though. it didnt show any video material. a few books were sold without ipods and i know of an ipod sold without the video. not a single known fan is known to have the full package inc video

not true. as far as i can remember a few seconds of that iPod-video were shown during the youtube-review. the reviewer seemed to be a true fan to me.

Found the old thread about the review:

if it's not true then prove it by showing a clip with video footage on the marked ipod that wasn't circulating at the time and some evidence it was bought by a fan and not some lucky insider that had it. how come in all this time, with all the hardcore fans in the world that it's never been leaked on any bootleg or anywhere?

As you can see by yourself that review on youtube has been deleted in the meantime...

(And it was deleted because of copyright reasons. Why's that, if it was indeed shownig no clip like you claim? rolleyes)

Apart from that I'VE SEEN the review when it was still online and IT DID include a few seconds of that ipod video! Many other people did see it too! I dont have to prove anything to anybody. You can take my word for it, or not... I really dont care mate!

I have no clue why it has never leaked, but my guess is that there werent too many buyers in total of that overpriced-thing and who would leak a video for free on the internet, when you've paid $2000 for it ? I surely would not....

i can't see for myself as there is nothing to see. it's just you saying you saw something ages ago, with no proof to back it up

it's like me saying that my lotusfailure t shirt was delivered by prince riding on his white pegasus from the prince album cover, and not showing you a youtube clip as evidence as it was deleted due to a copyright claim from controversy records

not all leaks are for free, remember there are bootleg labels that charge people for stuff. they could have bought it and filled the rest of the dvd with other clips from that time and charged money for it

As i said: I dont have to prove anything to you! It was not ages ago, the other thread is just about one year old! Many people did see it (prince.org/msg/7/368678?pr)! Believe it or not! Who cares what you think anyway?

From all the "just ok" reviews I think I'll pass. Plus after viewing another show recently I;m lukewarm on these half-ass DVDs

However, I did see the Guitar promo performance and it rocked!

Damn P - just release all this concert footage in the right way for once...

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Yes, thats right, that word is derogatory. So why are you using it? And yes, I understand context i.e. you can use that word if you're discussing it, or you use that word when your being demeaning/ putting someone down. So wasn't the word being used here to denigrate some 'famous for being not so famous' people? Like I said before, don't care about those z-list celebs, and why should we, but simply adding celeb to that word still relates to it because it obviously has a negative connotation

Put it this way, how do you think someone who is related to a person with special needs/ a learning disability feels when they here this word being used for whatever? I'll tell you; they feel like the world don't give a shit.

the word was used derogatory. i explained before it is a derogatory term. but it's not one that should be linked to the people you think of. that says more about your train of thought than anyone elses. it's time to move on from that out dated form of thinking

btw the person in question isn't famous for being famous, they are a multi talented and rich, and can speak for themselves without needed you to chip in unnecesarily. no one was talking or thinking about you, this isn't about you so stop trying to make it be about you

'it's time to move on from that out dated form of thinking'. Erm...Your the one using a very old fashioned, outdated term.

'the person in question isn't famous for being famous, they are a multi talented and rich, and can speak for themselves without needed you to chip in'. Like I've said before, don't care if they're famous or not, talented or talentless, rich or poor, I wasn't defending them! This is about the choice of words used on this thread by an org member, who, as it happens, has apologised, sarcastically it seems, but apologised nonetheless.

This place is hilarious, for two minutes.

It's time, cos I said so, to start thinking my way. It's for the best, cos I said it is, and my word is final.

Who said there was anyone multi-talented interviewed on that dvd? Or are we counting being able to breathe, stand and open your eyes simultaneously as being multi-talented?

That last line Darshy.. Please don't edit it, unless it's to add "Nerner nerner nerner". That's a pearl of playground wisdom if ever there was one. Wait til you go outside into the big wide world. It'll blow your mind. I hate to break it to you but the World doesn't give a shit.

There's litter everywhere for a start. Some will call it trash, some rubbish, some even R&RAffair. Loads wont give a shit and it's downright bloody offensive to some people. The planet's polluted and we aint even started to give a shit properly as it's all about me. That's pretty offensive too, for some. If you're bored, pop along to a hospital and ask what goes on in there. An Oncology ward should do the trick. Believe me, they're fucking offensive.

Life is offensive, what you gonna do?

You're gonna be pretty busy if you're gonna run around jumping on everything that offends you.

Without causing any more retardation of the thread, I'll pop along now and take my dinlo tablets, then I think my missus has some special needs that need might need tending to.

Yeah, there's a 21 Nights divvyd going around and it's poop.
