"Good Time" by Owl City first Prince Top 10 Reference?

I can't think of another instance of a Billboard Top 10 single mentioning Prince?

What about that Salt N Pepa song? I think it was Shoop. I don't know if was Top 10 but was a popular song at the time.

"Bad Touch" by Bloodhound Gang, while not Top 10, was certainly a very popular tune!

Emenem - can't think of the name of the song but lyric was something like "...ever since Prince turned himself into a symbol"

Missy Elliot - again can't remember name of song (not a rap fan) but recall some guy dressed as Prince in a yellow outfit in one of her videos and think the lyrics actually mention Prince.

These were big hits so quite likely top 10s

the first time I ever heard Prince mentioned in a song was Bobby Nunn's 1982 R&B hit "She's Just A Groupie"......

she'll do anything if Prince would take her home.....that's what she says

it reached number 15 on the R&B charts,so not quite a top 10 lol

It was a massive hit all around the globe, especially in europe. Here in germany it was #1 in the charts and got so many airplay that I can't listen to it anymore.

I can remember a P Diddy single and video where he talks about partying while listening to prince.

This song is so saccharine it nearly makes me wretch. It's nice that the newbies are keeping his name out there tho.

I like that it has the Something In The Water riff. Yeah, it's pop drivel, but there's a place for pop drivel, just like there's a place for Prince's music.

Yeah, and all the other ones, too. The only one I know is "Stronger".

But then again, I'm an old geezer who is one step away from a cane. I wonder if I can borrow Prince's semen-filled cane?!?
