Give your love to: When I Lay My Hands On U I just listened to this again, this is such a fantastic track.
The lyrics... The mood and atmosphere of it... The sick tremolo effect on the guitar during the chorus... The raw and unpolished vocal arrangement during the chorus.. The guitar solo... The haunting ending of the song... I really wish he would play this live someday! That would just blew me out of my shoes. Listening to the background vocals the song must be from around 1998, because you can hear (damn, I forgot the name!). But could be post-Rave, too. Alright, let the praising begin! | |

I like tthe chorus with the dostorted guitar line... So Passionate and soft at the same time... Very mesmerizing... The lyrics are so "Prince"!!! i just feel so ashamed and ordained when I give it a listen... I was called out on how much guitar style I've stolen from Prince and Santana when my then-girlfriend heard the song and its solo and said: "That sounds like your playing!"
I was like: "Um, er, uh,  thanks, er..."
Love the guitar in that song. But, that really high vocal part (someone said it's Marva King?) gets too outta control sometimes. And, I'm always amazed at how Prince will obviously cut corners in his production: A couple of instances, the drum track has problems. But, it's still a cool song! yeah i think its only okay,i got a bit tired of it really,juddery chorus , not my favourite prince vocals either ,there was a lot of hysteria when it first came out i recall,ooh Prince making different noises with his guitar lol Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

I think those raw and "out of control" vocals are what it's about. TMBGITW-style vocals wouldn't fit with the lyrics or the guitar effect. | |

I think it's alright. Which is strange cuz I was really taken with almost all the NPGMC stuff on first listen. This one hasn't grabbed me at all yet. I could live without it. | |

One of my favs. This and ONA are two song, I normally link together on a CD.
I love the vocals, arrangement and the lyrics "whoop ass" However, it just my opinion.  **************************************************
