Great news, bet Prince is honoured.

Now as a gesture, it would be nice to release a polished version of the new accoustic long version from one of the concerts as a 'shout out to all his fans for their support over the years' cool

Sorry wrong site lol

He should be very proud and I hope the irony in all of this isn't missed on his

part.

Just like the great job he did with the remasters of For You, Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, and 1999. I think Prince has released too many remasters anyway. He's probably bored with it by now.

Seriously....the industry is already publicly talking about phasing cds out in the next five-ten years. Other than 1999 The New Mistake...uh...Master...Prince hasn't done anything with his old material, and other than one off remakes of vault songs Large Room No Light and Extra Loveable....Prince is not exactly in a hurry to embrace his past, and probably never will.

I guess I can hope and pray for some sort of remasters in download form, but Prince is lazy and I doubt these will see the light of day, but I really really hope I am wrong. A remaster of all albums from 1978-1995 would be great, but it is not looking good.

Don't underestimate Prince.. His songs r is his kids. That is why he is so focused on his hits live nowadays. He knows that is where his bread & butter is at & will take good care of them.

eye don't why so many people write him off here. All the Masters he has received r already remastered & ready 2 go.Soon as he receives Purple rain back. He will still be on the W2A tour & we will be hit with the surprise of r life...

Don't get me wrong. Prince is the most brilliant musician who has ever lived. I just think his mind is not wired right for business. I believe I will see the Great Pumpkin rising out of the Pumpkin patch before I will see any Prince remasters. God I hope I am so wrong in thinking this.

He said Parade Live and Roadhouse Garden were ready, and I'm still waiting. Of course he blamed Wendy and Lisa for RG, but that's unrealistic.

The Chocolate Invasion was finished, but he claimed there were "distribution problems so your house will not be invaded."

Distribution Problems? A Multi-Millionaire can't afford to press up a few cds that he would've made at least a $500,000 to $2 Million profit on?

He hasn't even promised remasters, but again, I hope I am wrong. I just don't expect anything from him. I am in the minority that absolutely loved most of 20Ten, and am dying for a new studio album, and it's going on 2 years, which is like 15 years for Prince.

Will be interesting to see if Prince reads the other entries on the list :

'•Voices From the Days of Slavery (1932-1941). The only known audio recordings of former slaves include 24 interviews conducted in nine states.'

considering he walked around with Slave scrawled on his cheek in the mid 90's, I hope he listens to these recordings and it puts into perspective his complaints about being tied into a multi-million dollar contract which he was never forced to sign in the first place.
