A DVD set, with a concert selected from each tour he has ever done - like the stand out night where he was just in the zone.

And for himself to just take the time not stress and take care of himself and be happy - whatever that may take!

…oh and if he wants to come for a kick about on a Thursday night in preston lancashire our five a side could always use an extra player - the invite is there.

oh man, i've just started listening to the "space" acoustic remix again and it's just

so incredibly good. it's one of those songs that i usually leave on a loop for half an

hour or so. it really deserves another go on the live sets imo. it would just WORK

in an acoustic set. so deceptively simple and yet so deep and dreamy.

i love that mix sooooooooooo much. gives me goosebumps. puts you in a mood immediately.

Nursev is referring to the article in the thread "New Prince Article/Interview," in which he talks with the interviewer about a video of Elizabeth Gilbert talking about the creative process and "genius" - this is when the interviewer asks him how he (and Madonna) have survived while others like Whitney Houston recently have not. The video talks about continuing to "show up" and not worrying about whether "the genius" (an external entity) will visit you, and if you internalize "the genius," it can be paralyzing and destructive. AND this video and similar analysis was discussed on this thread not long ago! http://prince.org/msg/7/377914" target="_blank">http://prince.org/msg/7/377914 Coincidence?

Right. Because the only way anyone would know about a TED lecture is by reading a thread at the org. lol
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Right. Because the only way anyone would know about a TED lecture is by reading a thread at the org. lol

It's not a recent one buzzing around nowadays. It's a random one from 2009, and the org discussion specifically touched on how this TEDtalk explains how to push through blocks in the creative process, and how it can help the creative artist survive in the face of success (not only in the face of failure) and how the internalization of "the genius" has caused the demise of many great artists. And then Prince brings up this TEDtalk when asked this very question about how he's survived while other 80s artists have not?

Believe what you will, but this isn't chemtrails - no need to start belittling and being sarcastic.

P., I dig your girlfriend.

Can I hang out with her one night? Listen to her singing, playing the guitar and get drunk together.

You can tag along if you feel like it.

Alrighty. hmm

Dear Prince,

I've seen Mary J. Blidge and Jay Z in Live Streaming Concerts online to audiences in the MILLIONS.

Think about it. Millions and millions and more millions of viewers, all around the world getting schooled in "Real Music! By Real Musicians" at the same time. Taught as ONLY you can do it. hmmm

What are you waiting for? wink

P.S. A deluxe release of live concert video footage from 1978-1996 would work just as well...for me! lol

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Do a live broadcast of one of your concerts. I don't know why no-one does this anymore, but think. There is hardly any concerts on free to air concerts anyway so he'd be tapping into an untapped market.

some songs i've been yearning to hear:

interactive (prince probably doesn't feel it anymore due to the lyrics, but the guitar was WILD)

get wild (the glam slam party theme, he should revive it, cuz it stanks 20 cans o wet magic shave)

space (the acoustic version on the maxi single is just too beautiful, perfect for an acoustic medley)

computer blue (can you imagine the guitar shredding on this one? dead )

paisley park (absolutely loved loved loved the ona tour version of this one)

positivity (kind of surprised he didn't revive it since 88 since it's so spiritual)

and from more recent albums:

fury (anything even close to the snl live version would be wildly appreciated)

lion of judah (i know many think it's daft, but i think it's quite brilliant actually, would love to hear it)

act of god (just stretch it out at the end and JAM that mother, could include other songs too)

reflection (another one that would be great for an acoustic set, but perhaps too personal for arenas)

cool

He says he can write a song about anything. Write a song about writing about anything. Lalala hehehe don't count. Then write a sequel to BobGeorge. Or a sequel to any song. I don't think I've seen that.

BTW...what does The Work Pt. 1 sound like? Pt 2. could be a sequel if the prequel was ever heard.

And write a song about the precieved frustrations of a fan(addict). Like that p-o-w. wink. I'm sure Uve been a frustrated admirer of some musician at some point.
