"Stayin' Alive", the sequel to Saturday Night Fever.

I know because a former co-worker of mine used to live in Minneapolis and worked in a movie theater there. It was before he was really famous but was famous enough around the Tewin Cities. She had his car towed from a no parking spot.

Viewing all these titles, I wonder:

1. Is he a cinema fan?
2. What are his favourite movies?
2. Does he know/like non-English speaking films too?

It would be really strange if the most creative musician had an uncreative movie taste.
Unless he don't care about cinema much.

Several posters have mentioned foreign films - I know the Fellini one is true, I read the same article about him picking them up at a CD/DVD store.

Yes, it seems he is a film buff.

Im not exactly sure but I would think that he has seen both of the Nutty Professor movies. Being that Eddie M. starred in them and Janet Jackson in the second one. Also, Eddie did that Darling Nikki bit.

I believe an obvious movie he watched is "Jailhouse Rock" given the numerous covers of the title song he has performed as well as the presence of the Fireman pole during the 1999 tour.

Yes, it seems he is a film buff.

I was reading Imp of the Perverse again and it mentions how Prince bought the rights to a Czech film called A Blonde In Love in 1987 with the idea of remaking it.
Here is the link to the imdb page for the film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059415/

does anyone know if this is true?

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
