Has Anybody Heard West Since Musicology I know it was played on the Musicology tour just as filler music while folks were entering the stadium, but has anybody heard it live since then?

I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but this is probably the only officially released Prince album I haven't heard all the way through. I'll have to change that soon. I usually like Prince's instrumental/fusion tracks. | |

yeah, i admit it too. i don't have NEWS. been meaning to cop it but.... i remember I was in Boston at a record store the day it came out (i didn't know it) and was like WTF. how is a new Prince cd out with absolutely NO pub?! i opted for Amel Larrieaux's Bravebird instead.
btw, the rumors and my suspicions about Boston (as a racist city) we're proven true as I was asked three different times "can I help you", i'm like its a FRIGGIN' wrecka stow, i'm BROWSING | |

Cause believe it or not, when I FIRST started to get into Prince's music, I checked this place out, and I remember searching for new material and somehow I came across your thread about 'West' from the N.E.W.S. album. The title intrigued me, and when I found out each N.E.W.S represented the compass rose, and that they were 14 minutes, I just about died. I thought that was so interesting and different for a song and album concept. For the longest I tried to find the album to purchase..but could not find it anywhere. BUT when I did, I fell in love with it! It's now one of my favorite albums! I want the physical packaging!!
ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET IT? It's a shame it's his lowest selling album to date I think? I think this is a album of TRUE genius!
West is probably one of the best instrumentals he has ever came up with! ALONG with North, those two take the cake for me BIG TIME! That guitar really takes me in places I never thought I could be! It's truly one of his best guitar solos!! I just wish it was longer! So great!
