I thought he just provided the inspiration and synthesiser for Stand Back?

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

He only played on "Stand back", he didn't write it. Interesting list though.

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Wasn't it was The Good Life that was reissued in 97, not Get Wild? The Platinum People mix or whatever it was called got picked up by lots of commercial radio stations around the time and it re-charted.

blah blah blah

MC Hammer being included is misleading. Hammer sampled Prince, Prince didn't write anything for Hammer. But, as he's sampled, Prince gets a writing credit.

...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Thats why i have put sampled at the end. But prince did have writing credits on hammers album on soft and wet. which wasnt released as a single

Prince didn't write "Love is contagious".

His contrubutions to Taja was "Wouldn't you love to love me" and "If I could get your attention".

And Jesse Johnson wrote Jungle Love.

From prince vault

Jungle Love is the fourth track on The Time's third album Ice Cream Castle, and, five months after the album's release, Jungle Love was released as the album's third single. Jungle Love was written by Morris Day and Prince under the pseudonym Jamie Starr. Jesse Johnson was initially included in the credits when submitted for copyright in May, 1984, but after he left the band, his name was removed from the credits when the track was released. It was co-produced by Morris Day and Prince under the name The Starr Company. The song also features in the movie Purple Rain. A 1998 live version recorded by Morris Day was released in 2004 on his album It's About Time, but this has no input by Prince and is not included here, as it is considered a cover version.

Initial tracking took place on 26 March, 1983 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (the day before My Summertime Thang and Cloreen Baconskin).

Nice list by the way.

Jungle love is always contentious. Officially, its a Prince penned track, but unofficially, it was written by Jesse. Its along the lines of:

Partyup - Actually written by Morris Day.

Do Me Baby - Acutally written by Andre Cymone.

We many never know for sure what the full story is.

On the flip side, you have Sheila claiming writing credit on a lot of her tracks, when in fact it was all Prince.

on the vault they do say the same thing about "partyup" and "do me baby" but not for jungle love

I don't think he had anything to do with "What The Fuss" from Stevie other than play.

The Synth riff was the heart of the song. So he's at least co-writer, credited or not.
