2009 LA Confidential Pro Shot dvd

Just saw the trailer for a new dvd from Eye Records of the 3rd show in Prince's 3 shows in one night 2 promote "LotusFlow3er" back in March of 2009. It's pro shot and will probably generate as much buzz as the Montreux dvds. Of course I cant post the link 2 the trailer here, but it's out there. The dvd is supposed 2 be released January 10,2012. And in case someone is not aware, no it's not an official release. Yes,it is a bootleg.

Reminder folks: ABSOLUTELY NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS.You want to discuss them? That's fine - but NO OFFERS TO COPY, NO REQUESTS TO COPY, NO "WHERE CAN I GET", etc. NO POSTING OF LINKS TO THESE SITES EITHER. Please be aware that the moderators here strictly enforce this rule. - luv4u

The trailer looks good. Looks like it's soundboard audio and video in the one package.

Once more proof of how clueless Prince is. He could have made money by selling this online as streaming and/or a DVD or a Blu-ray. But nooooo, he was too busy screwing people who'd paid $77 for his lame-ass website.

I think the money he makes touring far outweighs what he could make selling these kind of releases, from a pure profit point of view.

Can't believe this was unearthed. Since we're talking about the LA LIVE 3 gigs in one night I though I'd share some recollections about The Conga Room. I was out in front of the venue scouring the earth for a ticket & coming up empty. I decided to do a lap around the LA LIVE Property and nary a ticket to be had. I decided to go back to the venue for a last ditch effort . Lo & behold this kind stranger ala my hairy godfather came up to me with 2 others in tow & said "If you want to get in come with me now". Looking at this guy I figured he mistakenly thought he was at a grateful dead gig but at this point I was willing to tke a chance. In his hand he had 4 tickets torn in half. He said the guy at the door ripped them all by mistake when he entered the venue. At least I think that's what he said. It was this frenzied, mad dash towards the door so the only guy who could vouch for him would let us in. As I was reaching for the Benjamin he hurriedly ushered myself & the 2 fellow funkateers to the front door where the guy let us in. I thanked the stranger for his good timing and left him & lucky 2 to fight their way to the front. The venue was about half full & having been there a month prioir for Prince's charity gig I knew I was in for a treat. I went to the back of the room by the bar, ordered myslef a victory Mojito and shared some appy's with the bartender all the while pinching myslef for getting in. I kicked back and being a LA Prince gig proceeded to watch one celebrity after another come in. I remember seeing Eddie Murphy & his lady going to the adjacent restaurant and seeing the staff scramble to put together a makeshift table for him w/ little or no floor space. He seemed in good humor as was I sitting there with the knowledge The Power Trio would finally reunite. An interesting tidbit was during "A Little Help From My Friends" Ron Wood was supposed to come up & jam but his 18 yr old girlfirend (yes 18) had spilt a drink on him and they left in a huff. What a prickly pear. Anyhoo thought I'd share some recollections from that infamous gig. Next up was Club Nokia . Looking forward to reliving this live document of another magical show.

Gohi

I will still check this out, I guess.

This show was kind of boring imo. Everything it offers is done a whole lot better on Montreux.

I misread the thread and thought this was a proshot of his rock trio set. Now THAT was a show and is one of my very favorites.

Not a waste of my time, because I'm talking to you directly and I enjoy immensely talking to people directly, whereas you post the same crap daily as if the left nut of the person its directed to gave a shit. At the end of the day,it's not your money, its not your career, its not your life. Don't get so invested in it. What you don't recognize is that people like you and Bart and the flip side of the same coin of a Prince fanatic for whom he is a god who does no wrong. You all are waaaayy too emotionally invested in the life of someone you don't know. Just chill out sometime.. it does the body good! comfort

Not really. If you look at the promo trailer this is pro edited with 4-5 different cameras from various angles.

Ahh, even better. This show won't blow anyone anyway but it still has it's share of moments. I believe it's the 1st time he performed WILMHOY live as wells as the 1st performance of Large Room.
