You know what I've never understood?

He was a pioneer in digital downloading, and he owns his post-WB music, so...put 1+1=2, you would think he would have a website where members could join (for free or small nominal fee) and among the services, you would be able to digitally download his post-WB records from Emancipation onward to 20Ten, for whatever price he deems fit. 10? 15? Whatever.

But that would be too obvious, even though last I checked he's making...what, zero bucks on several of those now out-of-print CDs (like say New Power Soul) as we're speaking, when he could be making some money off his fans?

Right, too obvious.

It’s so weird that he doesn’t have a website, even if it’s just one that gives information on his music or his biography or even as a place to purchase albums, merchandise or concert tix. Almost every musician & actors have a website of their own (or if they don’t then there’s Twitter). It would be good if he had one because then we can stay up to date on any tours, events and news.

Not saying that the .org doesn’t have all that – but this would be coming from the horse’s mouth or so to speak.

At least let us know what his email address is so people can send him some fan mail ?!

**If I were famous I would love to get mail from my fans, awww how sweet!!!**

pray Peace in the House of Prince.

I want you to know that James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Prince were on the same stage together.

Oh my god, I totally hate Prince websites.

ALL OF THEM.

L41A before it became NPGMC was decent enough way back in the day when insane Flash technology and peeping into hidden 'rooms' and 'corridors' was a flashy sign of website wowiness. But he kept up with that bullshit all the way up to lotusfailure.com rolleyes.

I mean, lotusfailure required you to answer a "puzzle" to gain access to applying for membership, and Prince is said to have been dissapointed with the number of signups?!?!?!? BITCH, please!

A simple, clean, easy-to-use website with standard menus and NO SIGNUP to purchase merchandise. A news event for upcoming shows, etc. without ANY PROPAGANDA, and now we're talking. It doesn't have to look completely bland--but seriously.....Lotusfailure?!?! That shit was amazingly attrocious. I was dumbfounded by how ridiculous the site looked, and the fact that half the shit on it didn't work correctly when it first opened.

The worst thing though is that the chats in L41A/NPGMC were useless. Everything felt like a recruiting tool for NPMC. The only thing mildly amusing was the 'instrument' room where you can fiddle with his 'Musicology' band thingy.

I do think Prince needs a website to help him continue to grow his 'brand'. But he needs to hire somebody who knows what they're doing, and COMMIT.

I guess he just wants to disappear and act like he never existed. Just let him. There are plenty of other awesome websites out there for artists. To most he has already been forgotten. Its part of being Jehova I guess.

so right! i think just a blog would be enough like the 3121 news blog! just to get a few news what he is doing right now, like working on a new album biggrin plan a tour or something...

without a membership, just make it more easy lol

yes

The unofficial ones last longer, have more accurate info and might even lead you to the b00tz.
