Agree 100%. This was his worst period ever image-wise. There was nothing even remotely cool about a man in pigtails and shiny wetsuits.

And the Hit+Run Tour 2000/2001 was one of my favorite tours of his.. maybe my favorite. I loved the band, the setlists, and that he played guitar a lot. I don't listen to bootlegs much.. but the Oakland 2001 show is one of my favorites.

That was my first Prince show. It was damned good. That was right before he went full cultist, so he did a tight set with all the profanity and grinding on his dancer during Darling Nikki. He gave some crazy sermon as the second or third encore. Unfortunately the afterparty got announced on radio so the club had a line down the block by the time we got there.

But his looks at that time were nuts. The clothes ranged from lunacy to brilliant, but the hair was always ridiculous.
