The tour would've never actually happened because they'd both argue about it and want to be the one to go last. Ego bullshit.

"You open the show for ME"

"Nah, you open the show for ME".

If it did happen which is a nonsense hypothesis then Prince would open for Michael. I'd leave after Prince's set but Michael Jackson was on a different level in terms of fame thankfully.

Yeah the fame was different but ego-wise they appeared to be equally matched lol . And Prince seems like his own man who would have a hard time opening for ANYbody, although I know early in his career he did, but that's only because he had to. Around 1999 and onward, there's no way in hell he would've agreed to be anyone's opening act - especially Michael Jackson's, "Thriller" or no.

Tsk. You didn't fall for that did you. No, he's gone into partnership with Elvis. They are running a clam shack on the freeway just out of dodge city. I hear the gumbo is of the hook.

Have you seen how fucked up in the head most MJ fans are? Even if the above were true, frankly it'd be a blessing to watch all those fuckers leave the stadium together in a mass-exodus of Batshit Crazy. lol

Other than little boys, Michael didn't open for anybody.

The logical thing to do would be to alternate. MJ could close one night and Prince could close the next.

Always great to see people posting mis-informed, shallow jokes about Michael Jackson. You guys know nothing about him. You're just repeating sensationalist news reports, easy jokes and jumping to easy conclusions when in all fairness, all allegations against him were absolute bullcrap with no shred of evidence whatsoever, filled with inconsistensies and lies. But meh. Whatever. I adore Prince, I adore MJ. And I feel better because of it.

Regardless of whether MJ is guilty of wrong doings, he would not open for Prince and visa versa. Although, Mj had little boys underwear framed and hanging on his wall of his house (neverland). You only frame what you covet, no? (This is not gossip this is fact as seen on film broadcast on TV.)

Not anti-Mj or anything just impartial.

On TV, huh? Prove it.

I agree, regardless. A tour together would never happen. I don't think two artists of such calibre have ever toured together?

Well this is a bait thread if ever there was one.

Michael Jackson's stage show was larger than any used by Prince, so logistically he would have gone on last. I'd bet Michael would have tried to make it like a revue, where they performed using the same band and alternated a few songs, with nap breaks.

Typically big stars will co-headline, and trade the other from night to night.

The benefits of opening are you get to go home early, and you don't have to sit around waiting to find out when you get to go on stage and start your own show.

Bring on all your arguments. All of 'em can be undermined. You got nothing. Seriously. A guy gets sued because he's suspicious - and that immediately means he did it? So far for fair trial. Which he obliteratingly won, if you remember.

Why do people even start topics like this if only to give a forum to narrowminded and prejudiced fools?

Michael would not open the show to anyone for 2 reasons:

1. he is dead

2. he is the biggest star of the last 30 years.

PS Oh, I'm tired of this complex is associated with MJ, which has many members of the forum here ... rolleyes

In this dreamland where Prince would ever agree to such a thing, and mice run the world from a castle in the sky where the main form of transport is tinie-tiny unicorns - Michael would headline. We all know this, MJ is the bigger international star, end of story.
