Go to the App store and download The Unarchiver for free which will open the Rar file

I have downloaded XLD, which I assume will do the same, in addition to Songbird that should be able to play the files - and nothing happens. I still get that white file and not the rar file, so I have nothing to unrar and still no music for me. So i have a program that should be able to open the rar file and one program that should be able to play it - what else do I need to be able to download that damn rar file? (I´m frustrated)

It´s not a great thing to experience but it´s actually a little comforting to hear that someone else has the same problem, because it seemed to me like it works for everybody else. But the question is: What can we do about it because I need this music and I assume you want it, too. I have posted the problem in every forum I can think of in hope to get some help but there is very little response. So what are you going to do, aazzaabb???

I tried downloading it the first time and ended up with an empty file also.. The second time I did--no problem. I use 7-Zip File Manager (free download) to extract it and since I started using this, I have no problem...and I had lots of problems with flac and other download files before.

Good God, "Others Here With Us" is awful. What an unlistenable piece of shit. I only ever gave it a skimming in the past because it wasn't appealing, but hearing it here in all of it's glory, especially along side much better songs, it's quite lacking. Those cheesy scream samples, that meandering and repetitive melody....ugh. I think he was trying to be scary and it comes off as corny.

XLD is a conversion and tagging tool for audio files. To play Flacs on a Mac, VLC (free) is one of very few players for OSX. Toast Titanium will play Flac as well and burn without conversion - but it's not free.

If you have downloaded the .rar(s) and are using a program like http://www.unrarx.com/ (free for Mac) to unarchive and/or un-split the contents folder, yet are getting an empty or unfinished result, then it seems you haven't entered the password. Type or paste the password into the correct box and drag the .rar onto the UnRarX application. You only need to drag the first part of a set of split rars onto the app. In this case, there should only be one .rar.

Please don't ask for the password here. It should be posted where you found the download.

aazzaabb! Yes, finally it worked for me when I followed squirrelgrease´s advice - hopefully it has worked for you as well. Seemed like what I did not have was the unrar thing, and I thought I had downloaded an unrar program already. Good to know. So now I´m playing it through Songbird, which is a good player - but the bad thing about it is that it doesn´t seem to be able to burn cds from it

Honestly, I can't really argue with you for saying this. I was pretty disappointed by this one too. I'm happy he didn't put this on the final album; because this would be the one skip-able track imho.

Yes, you`re right about that! Fortunately there seems to be a lot of helpfull orgers on this forum, which is fantastic! So thanx for your help I`m really enjoying the music now that I finally got it...

Keep in mind these are demos and there exists a version with Clare Fischer's orchestration (not circulating). Not that the song would have changed THAT drastically with the addition of the orchestration. But I'd love for that version to surface someday.

I have always loved this track. One of the strangest he's done. Makes perfect sense it remains unreleased, it did not fit into the mood of "Parade", but I think it is a cool song.

It's a shame Large Room isn't on here in this quality, not only would it work musically but to have it in shit hot quality would be awesome

I thought that was the poorest track on ther to be honest. And that's considering I don't like and never have liked There's Others Here With Us. Love or $ is far too much of a demo for me. If P's vocals were bought up it would be awesome and, for me, it mars what is a fantastic release.
