Great CD....The One U Wanna C is top notch stuff. Rates with his best ever.

Midnights follows closely behind.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I love "The One U Wanna C"

It's definitely a country sounding track, and I HATE country, but some how this manages to put it off. It's such a fun song to listen to. It sounds like a pop song, it should have been released as a single. smile The guitar is just amazing, it's very standard but still has a flow that is sticky. The lyrics are so weird, but It's Prince we are talking about here. Haha, Basically he wants this girl because he has a lot money, and she can spend it all, also she doesn't have to shave her legs? Haha

I think Planet Earth is a good album, not his best, but very balanced. It summarizes 2007 perfectly for me. The only songs I really don't listen to is "Chelsea Rodgers". The songs fit well for the tone of the message but it gets cheesy with "All The Midnights In The World". I can listen to "Somewhere On Earth" when I am feeling depressingly classic. Haha, I don't know how 2 describe it, but I mean it depends on the mode. BUT I am not here to review the album, it's cool for what it is.

Now, it's time for me to jam to "The One U Wanna C" headbang

I like the country sound of this tune, its just enough with still enough mainstream to be funky.

The first 10 - 15 seconds of this song grab you stronger than almost any song he's done. It's just perfect sound!

And the line, "If you want to get creamy, I'm the one u wanna see!" Wow! What an incredible line! i can't even believe post Jehova's Witness Prince sang this, much less wrote it.

I also think "Guitar" is his best rock song since "U Got the Look" and one of his best ever.

I love "Resolution" and "Lion of Judah".

Actually, the only song I don't like at all on that album is "Chelsea Rodgers".

Quite a few things I don't understand. The tune Chelsea Rogers is okay on Planet Earth...not really, but oh well. Lion of Judah, meh. It's a very cool CD with a few more outta sight musical and memorable tunes. Lyrically wise I give it an 8 out of 10. Musically 9 out of 10. That really would be a treat to hear anything off Planet Earth in P's concert. Oh well, one day. Maybe. Let the music play. guitar

Understand?

Carry on. sun

^ Including the album title: I wonder where this came from?

This pic was part of a small teaser promo ad shown on 3121.com probably a few months before Planet Earth came out. Obviously some earlier incarnation of the final album art.
