I get your point and I kinda agree, Prince's policy regarding internet makes his fans more 'unique' or how to say... Well, it's like in the 80's or 90's when music was real and when there was less piracy than today... Prince himself said 'Internet is dead.' and yet now he is promoting Andy and Dr. Funkenberry by giving them latest news and etc. He would better have his own website, rather than doing what he does now. It's just my point of view...

Well, speaking for myself, the 'trying to make us wish we were her' part doesn't apply. Maybe when I was 17, but not now. A boastful, self-important attitude has always been a major turn-off for me.

She just needs to tone it down, imo.

This all makes me wonder what it would have been like 20-25 years ago if Vanity or other Prince protege types or love interests had had access to social media to burp out a constant stream of babble about their relationship with Prince. I wonder if it would've made me like them less or more.

There are all types of love; they may be more like "kissing cousins" but at least they seem to truly enjoy each others company. I don't feel like she is a completely manipulative user. My gut says that she genuinely is working on a friendship that will last with this man. I have not felt that way about the people in his life in a long while.

Whichever type of relationship Andy and Prince have, be it romantic, platonic or mostly professional, I don't understand the apparant need to offer it up so incessently for public consumption and commentary. Why do that? What's the point of it? Are any of us - meaning, the fans and public - necessary in the private equation of Andy's development of a friendship (or whichever kind of relationship) with Prince?

Again, whatever the true nature of Andy and Prince's relationship right now, these FB posts and such smack of TRYING TOO HARD and that's the aspect of it that makes me roll my eyes.

Kind of pathetic that Prince and Andy feel to create buzz and attention they have to manufacture a juvenile soap opera scenario that appeals mainly to the moony-eyed fans with more interest in Prince's love life than in his musical talent.

They should spend less time posting silly, worthless shit on FB and more time creating great new music that will excite the fans who are wanting to hear great new music from Prince.

But hey, if they're able to get satisfaction and 'huge smiles' from the reaction to Andy's Facebook posts, good for them. I guess it gets more difficult to come up with new music as one ages like Prince is, and this Facebook soap opera is an easy, cheap way to keep some relevency.
