I Rock, Therefore I Am

I've been listening to this song a lot, lately

is not that bad, in fact, it's decent, even entertaining, the chorus is anthemic and the rapper is good.

Better than ANY "jam" of Emancipation / NPS, anyway

One of Prince's worst songs barf

Chaos And Disorder is a mediocre album but it starts off decently with several rock tunes that aren't half-bad.Disaster strikes when you get to "I Rock,Therefore I Am" and it's all downhill from there.

It's not one of his better songs but I think it's pretty good and on a scale from 1 to 5 I would give it a 3.

Quite possibly the worst song I have ever heard. Dull composition, puerile lyrics and frankly slightly embarassing. I think there would be a riot if he ever played this live!

Bangin' Track!!! If it wasn't for this and "Dig U Better Dead" then this album probably would have been a clunker (sort of like if Planet Earth didn't have Chelsea Rodgers). As much as I love the album, it really just plods along until "I Rock, Therefore I Am" finally injects some long overdue energy into it. Plus, it's got that cool Minneapolis synth riff in it. Had it not been for this track and "Dig U Better Dead" then I might not have ever given this album a second chance.

That what saves the song in my book. Ditto on HadU & Dig U Better Dead are off the chain.

I like this track and album, but I wouldn't say any of the album is "classic" like some of you are saying.

This whole album sounds like it was meant to...an album to get out of a contract.

Wasnt that proven a fact? Even some of the artwork alludes to that. The whole cd sounds like a bunch of throw aways but nostalgia is making the songs more endearing then they were upon release.....

however Dinner With Delores is an awesome light pop ditty

I don't know if it was "proven," but that's what I get from the whole project. The entire project sounds like a bunch of songs he had written over the span of a few years and this was just a collection of outtakes and songs that proved he was ready to leave WB.

"I Rock, Therefore I Am" reminds me of a few trax on "Emancipation."

Because P played I like it There live recently I began listening to this forgotten album again. Most of it is no good, but I Rock... stands head and and shoulders above the rest. I love it, I love Rosie anyd I hate that rapper. Without him it would've been fantastic.

"I ROCK..." is one of my faves off the C&D cd, along with I LIKE IT THERE, DINNER WITH DELORES, INTO THE LIGHT/I WILL & DIG U BETTER DEAD. Every Prince album has treasure on it, IMO.

The song is okay on that album, but would fit much better on a different album. It's "only" okay, because it somehow spoils the guitar-driven rock-attitude Chaos has until that song (it's the same with Dig U Better Dead).

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

"NPG to the maximum!!!" disbelief

This song only further proves that he should stay far, far away from dancehall reggae and even rap.

But all of that said, I don't mind listening to this song every now and then, as I really liked it when it first came out.

It's Prince telling everyone how much he doesn't give a censored which is definitely not something that he is new to, see "Uptown," "Days Of Wild," "Calhoun Square."

Also, the solo that he does towards the end kicks ass. cool
