What Concert Year Would You Choose to See Prince LIVE??

If you had but only one choice to go to just one concert to see Prince...what year would you choose?

1981/82 - Dirty Mind/Controversy Era

1985/86 - Purple Rain/UTCM Era

1995/96 - O+>/The Beautiful Experience Era

2011 - The Hits Era

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

Yes, especially 1980. The combination of Prince's attitude and his talent produced a fantastic album. Wish I had been around to experience at least one concert during the Dirty Mind Tour that began in late 1980.

Would also have loved to see the Controversy Tour that began in late 1981.

The unfettered 1980-81 period was a very fruitful period for Prince.

I would like to see the 1999 Tour, for two reasons:

1. 1999 - his best album, imo

2. VANITY 6 BITCHEZ love

What a dream it would be. mushy

None of the above (although I'm sure they were all great).

I would choose Sign O the Times. It's my fav Prince cd and one of my fav DVD's too.

That's a no-brainer.
2011.
After North Sea and the Melkweg I really don't need anything more.
Peace! Be wild!

I love everything from 1986 - '88, I'd have to pick '86, I love the simplicity of it and Prince's appearance biggrin

81/82. To be totally honest, I would've LOVED to have been at the same concert as PDogz the night he went to see Rick James on his Fire It Up Tour. To have seen that show with Prince opening for Rick, and then followed by RJ would've been... faint lights out for me.

I would want to be in the Lyceum theatre in London, June 1981 and then get invited to Steve Stranges birthday party so I could talk to Prince afterwards.

But generally I would love to also be in the 1986 Parade Tour, followed by the 1981/82 Controversy Tour, 1982/83 Triple THreat Tour, 1987 SOTT tour and then the Dirty Mind Tour of 1980/81

I kind of like the Rick James Tour of 1980, but the set list would be limited to only his 70s stuff and Head which is kind of limited.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
