I'm going to go with the 91' version, simply because it has "Get Off" and "Cream", two of his biggest hits from that album.

91 all the way. Early config. was weak.

Me too. Because of what you say and also because the sequencing in the 1990 version doesn´t convince me. The beginning of the album, with Daddy Pop and Walk Don't Walk, is OK, but not as strong as the one in the 1991 version, with Thunder. Also, there are many slow numbers together in 1990: Diamonds And Pearls, Insatiable and Money Don't Matter 2night.

That said, I love Horny Pony and Schoolyard, and the 1990 version hasn't Jughead...

I agree, the 1990 version looks more like a rough compilation of ideas than a properly tracked album.

The 1991 album holds many great memories for me, being in Mpls when it was released and attending the release party at GlaM SlaM - so the 1991 configuration all the way, definately.

The 1990 version is terrible.

No "Thunder", "Cream", or "Gett Off".

Horrid tracks: "Horny Pony", "Something Funky", "Call the Law", "The Flow"

Original version of Daddy Pop was so much better.

And no Jughead on the 1990 one...got to prefer it to the released one.

The lack of Jughead is really the only advantage I see in the 1990 version.

1990 version, Schoolyard and Horny Pony were great. Thunder, Gett Off and Cream are hugely overrated IMO.
