Prince documentary on Sky Arts/Sky Anytime

There's a Prince documentary on Sky Arts today at 5pm called 'Prince of the Paisley Park' and for the UK orger's with Sky Anytime it's on there too 'til Friday. I think it's a repeat of the BBC Omnibus documentary from the early 90's.

Apparently it's the US version "Prince of Paisley Park" which is slightly different to the UK Omnibus original (added talking head interviews at the expense of a couple of candid Prince moments) but still excellent all the same. Great to be able to record it in upscaled standard def too! cool

Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Yep. And I don't know about you, but I'm definitely needing reminders these days.

No, scratch that. I get reminded when and only when I throw on the first decade (and a few years over) of his career.

pisses me off no end when these fams say his music is changing now and we can't accept it. bullshit, the 80s was the time he was changing and evolving, challenging and provocative. i don't want him to recreate the 80s musically, i just wish he could get some of that attitude back. it's good to know there are others like you who tell it like it is comrade!

Except for his frame, his ears, brows, nose, lips, chin, neck and cheeks, he's a spitting image of Prince.

I've heard that the dude fro Shakespeare in Love could play Prince, but I don't think he's quite capable of pulling off such a role. And besides, he'll be too old by the time Prince passes away anyways.

Of course, Prince is KNOWN for being adrongynous, so it is my belief that it will be almost impossible for most male actors in Hollywood to play him accurately. It'll just end up looking like camp character acting, and Prince deserves for better than that.

For certain eras of his career (Dirty Mind/LoveSexy), he could be played by a convincing female--the exudes feminine vitality during those years, not to be confused with just plain old camp male energy.

This woman looks very much like Prince here, except for the brows, sunken eyes, lips, chin, and nose of course.
