Jehovah Witness

If the Witnesses could provide clarification. I just attended a Prince concert here in Los Angeles, Cali and Prince shouted out to the audience, "Where are all my Nasty Girls at?"

He also, played an music excerpt from the song Darling Nikki?

The funny comment Prince made was, "I'm in rehab..."

I agree with you.

Shouting out, "Where all my nasty girls.." is not exactly what you would read in a WatchTower magazine.

lol well I don't know who you been in contact with, because most of them are very friendly easy going people. Also everybody's personality is different so, that could be one another thing. Some people might be serious than others.

Yeah right! How friendly or funny would it seem if I went to the neighborhood street corner among a flock of seaqulls (female witnesses) and said, "Where my nasty girls at..."

Of course anybody with sense wouldn't go out and say something like that. Also he is doing a concert, not witnessing. The whole point I was trying to make was that to say that they don't have a sense of humor is crazy, because that's not true.

Let's get some female witnesses to attest to what your saying or perhaps they will agree with me, okay?

Btw, when was the last time you heard a Jehovah witness tell a joke or made you laugh about something?

I talk to one almost everyday now, and her personality is a vacation stay at the Atacama desert inn.

Prince saying, "Where my nasty girls at..." is as contradictory from my viewpoint to that of a Christopher Cross video that I just saw "Think of Laura," with a woman wearing a chemise.

No argument from me but we obviously don't agree about them having a sense of humor. I would think your opinion would be slightly subjective because of your association.

Your take on him playing the music excerpt from Darling Nikki?

Isn't there also a code of ethics regarding sex and the language that is considered appropriate?

lol

Why are they always talking about the last days, and tribulations?

You would think that the world was coming to an end, any day now, according to them.

With such a morbid outlook towards life, how do they maintain a sense of humour?

What do they enjoy about life?

That the end is soon?

I was at that show. I think he was "teasing" the audience. After he made those statements and played the intro to "Darling Nikki", he laughed and said he was in rehab!!

Although I'm a Christian, I am glad that he has found Jehovah (GOD). I read somewhere it was his mother's dying wish. (??)

All in all, his performance at the Forum on 5/28 was AMAZING!!!!

Not trying to start anything or argue, but why are you glad that he found Jehovah?

Yeah it was a great performance, and especially for my son Amiri who's only five, that I took to see Prince.

When Prince covered, "Cool," by The Time, my son looked out into the audience when everyone was doing the hand gesture of "Cool," and started doing it himself.

Now that's cool--about ur son smile

I am a firm believer of "to each, his own". He has had a lot of tragedy in his life and if finding God gets him through the rest of his life, then I am thrilled for him.

I wish him tons of happiness, love, health, peace, joy and all that is good.

"To each, his own," places you in the category of not being a religious "Zelig," and that spells "Cool."

Well there is a difference in playing a tinsy bit of a song, than actually singing it. But like the person said above. "To each his own" Everyone has their own opinion on things. I'm not judging, it's not my right. That's why we all have a opinion, which means, no right or wrong answer. It's just a thought and take on a matter. It's all good though, like I said, I don't want to argue. You said you don't want to argue so, let's just call it truce and be friends. Are you alright with that? biggrin
