Wow some of you are slow. P owns 22 properties back in Minneapolis and who knows how many other properties that are in names of corporations.

Of course the property is in a tax haven and I bet he is going to be spending a lot of time in that house. The dude is on the road working, giving money away and buying new properties he is not hurting for money he is just not going to pay those Irish guys their money.

Laura, I'm not concerned about how many properties he owns nor do I care about his personal finances. I was just commenting on how I thought it is nice, if in fact true, that he chose to purchase property in the beautiful Caribbean.biggrin

Sorry my reply really pertains to electricberet.

Actually, no it's not. Where did the article in post #5 mention anything about P owing money? That's not what the article is about. Furthermore is Prince's personal finances any of your business or mine? I should think not. Let's just keep the thread on track shall we, and not bring up old issues from an old thread into this thread.

If Prince's personal finances are none of our business, then neither is where he chooses to live.

Exactly, which is why I didn't see anyone on this thread making any such comments. biggrin

Hey, don't blame me. I just spent $80 to buy three records of his that I already own, so in my own small way I'm helping the cause. lol

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

TURKS AND CAICOS WEEKLY NEWSApril23-29,2011 5 NATIONAL

Provo fit for prince

Legendary singer buys $12m home in turtle tail

EXCLUSIVE by Gemma Handy

International superstar Prince has become the latest celebrity to snap up a multi-million dollar home in the tci. The Weekly News can reveal that the $12m Turtle Tail mansion belonging to eminent developer Richard Padgett has been sold to the American singing legend. Prince – behind hits Purple Rain and Kiss – is a regular visitor to the Islands, staying at the plush Amanyara resort where he stunned guests last New Year’s Eve with an impromptu performance. He has also been spotted at Blue Hills eatery, Da Conch Shack. The flamboyant 52-year-old, from Minneapolis, follows the likes of veteran actor Bruce Willis, designer Donna Karen, supermodel Christie Brinkley and Rolling Stones rock legend Keith Richards by putting down roots in the tci. But he bucks the trend buying a pad in Provo with most celebs opting for exclusive hideaway Parrot Cay. It is not yet known if he will live full-time in the sprawling 10,000 square feet estate. But he is already buddying up with

Third Turtle developer Richard Padgett is to bid farewell to theIslands, his home for the last seven years.

The locals, including musician Quinton Dean who got the opportunity to work with the star last year after meeting him at the Amanyara. Third Turtle developer Mr Padgett would not confirm the purchaser of his house for legal reasons but reliable sources confirmed the sale was a done deal. “Unfortunately I cannot disclose

The name of the purchaser as we signed a confidentiality agreement,” Mr Padgett told the Weekly News. The high profile sale is welcome news for the country’s listless real estate market and will do wonders to promote the image of economically stifled tci overseas. One local realtor remarked: “This is a really good boost for the real estate economy. The guy’s a celebrity; this really means something.” Mr Padgett, from the uk, will soon bid farewell to the Islands where he has lived full-time since 2004. The Oceanpoint Developments boss has fended off accusations of bribery and corruption in the aftermath of the scandal-plagued Commission of Inquiry. In February it was announced that civil proceedings had been launched against his firm which was building a rockresorts-branded ‘condotel’ on the site of Provo’s first hotel. Mr Padgett was accused of bribing members of the former Government to gain favours for his scheme. Third Turtle was one of four major developments frozen by authorities in April 2010 amid investigations.

Prince bucks the trend among celebrities, choosing Providencialesover exclusive hideaway Parrot Cay.

A month earlier Mr Padgett had announced he was putting the project up for sale saying he had “no more energy” to continue. The realty giant has consistently denied any wrongdoing, previously telling the Weekly News he believed the world had “gone mad”. Developers had ploughed $21m into the scheme over six years. Mr Padgett’s eight-bedroom, sixbathroom ‘mini resort’ overlooking the ocean was originally on sale for $17m. It boasted a weekly rental value ranging from $21,000 a week in low season, to $56,000 over Christmas where a single night would set occupiers back $8,000. The estate – which can

Accommodate up to 19 overnight guests and was serviced by three gardeners, a manager and a maid – includes a private marina, gym, home theatre, tennis court, infinity pool, tropical gardens and an additional guest house and staff house. Dubbed one of the most exquisite properties in the Caribbean, it is situated above two iron shore peninsulas and private beaches. It is accessed by a sweeping driveway and automated entrance gates, ideal for Prince’s security requirements. The pint-sized pop sensation is one of the biggest-selling artists of all time, credited with 10 platinum albums, 30 Top 40 singles and seven Grammy awards.

Seems like the perfect private Exquisite villa where Prince can be free with no interuptions. eye am happy 4 him that he finally found a place where he can be free & @ peace.......

A man only buys a place like this if he is in love, & wants 2 spend the rest of his life with this special person...Bria!

well there was a article where prince did a surprise performance for new years there and it stated prince was a reagular @ the resort ..so i wouldn't be surprised..i believe u wink

He previously had spent time there in 2010, because it was there that he spotted Quinton Dean:

http://en.wordpress.com/t...inton-dean

Quinton Dean states that he was performing at "the Amanyara", which suggests that Prince was possibly staying or visiting here:

http://www.amanresorts.co.../home.aspx

The New Year's Eve party held by Padma Lakshmi was also reported as being held at the Amanyara resort.

Huh? Padma lives in Amsterdam, at least I thought he did....... confuse

Well, New Year's Eve is better overthere than in A'dam I guess...Especially when P is there to perform.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Fantastic! He finally has a home in the Carribbean! I'm surprised he didn't grab one up sooner! lol

Let see now, in addition he has a home in Hawaii, Los Angeles, Toronto(which apparently he lost to his

X-wife Manni), Minneapolis (which he always calls his real home), and not talked about much,

but I've heard he has a couple of residences in Europe somewhere.

What am I missing?

Oh yeah, it looks like one of the many bedrooms in the home is open to the ocean...anyone

else see that? Or did I just imagine it? It was difficult trying to get around in that link.

lol I'm laughing because that developer has the exact name as my niece's father, first and last name, but absolutely no relation of course. Anyway, I think that's cool Prince bought a house in the Caribbean if that is true. Looking at the size of it, it he can have parties like he did in LA. He gets to relax on a beautiful island in peace, with no one to bother him, and to bask in Caribbean sun. He can experience the Caribbean culture, the people, their dialect, pina coladas, coconuts and palm trees, the food, the music...iguanas.....awesome. Not to mention the beautiful turquoise ocean and white, sandy beaches. He'll be saying.."Eh mon, no prabhlum!... in no time.

[Edited 5/15/11 0:29am]

Eh, is the man still available? Do you think he's ready for a relationship? Now that I'm reading this, I suddenly feel very ready for a relationship again. lol lol

All - I've been asked to pass on the message that this story is false and the house owners are pretty frustrated and annoyed at the (false) press intrusion.

Prince is a big fan of Turks and likes to go there in his spare time but has 100% not bought a house there.

This rumor is untrue. Prince enjoys visiting, but has not purchased these properties. Please respect the privacy of the homeowners.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
